Introduction of Airbus A 350-900 aircraft that Asiana Airlines are receiving by May will be changed from June for Seoul (Incheon) - Kansai Line

Initially, A350 was scheduled to start its operation for Kansai Line and Manila Line, but it will be changed to Manila line and Hong Kong line.
A350-900 has 3 classes and 331 seats (28 business, 36 premium economy, 247 economy), the premium economy is set up. The number of seats to be offered will be increased from A330-300 (2 classes 290 seats: 30 business, 260 economy) that is currently being operated for Kansai Line.
Kansai Line scheduled to be launched on May 15 will be operated from June 15. Until June 14, except on Friday, they will continue the operation with A330-300. Only on Friday, Boeing 777-200ER will be operated.

SKYTRAX surveyed over 800 categories such as airports and in-flight services.

SKYTRAX certifies "Five stars" for airlines who provide excellent services to users.
ANA was evaluated for the high service level of the staff and service improvement for customers.
There are nine airlines won 5 stars, including ANA who became the only airline in Japan.
The certification also gave to other 8 airlines: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Qatar Airways, Asiana Airlines, Garuda Indonesia Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Etihad Airways, EVA Air (EVA / BR).

Japan Aircraft Pilot Association. (JAPA), Japan Aeronautical Engineers Association, The Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies, All Japan Air Transport and Service Association Co., Ltd. will hold a women's limited aviation classroom "Yes I Can!!" on March 20 at Kokukaikan in Shimbashi, Tokyo.

In the aeronautical industry, since places where women are in active have been expanding, women pilots, mechanics and heavy industry manufacturers’ employees will attend as lecturers in this classroom. Group discussions are also taken place to deepen the understanding of the job of the sky.

It invites women from 16 to 26 years old, pilots and mechanics of airlines, helicopter pilots and mechanics, aircraft manufacturers who are interested in this classroom as participant.

Last month, Delta Airlines (CEO Ed Bastian) announced that they will issue an additional bonus of USD1.1 billion (approximately JPY125 billion) to their 85,000 employees.

This amount is the second largest amount for the company following the last year's USD1.5 billion.

Delta Airlines employees, based in Atlanta, receive bonuses totaling over USD1 billion for the third consecutive year.

ANA converted Peach into a subsidiary by increasing the stock share to 67%

On February 24, ANA Holdings corporatizing All Nippon Airways concluded a policy to convert Peach Aviation (Japanese LCC) into a consolidated subsidiary. It was decided at the board meeting held on the same day. It aims to incorporate rapidly growing Peach into the group and strengthen profitability.

As the result, the share of Peach has been 67% by ANA Holdings, 17.9% by Hong Kong investment company, and 15.1% by Industrial Innovation Organization. The acquisition amount by ANA Holdings was JPY30.4 billion.

All Nippon Airways announced on February 17 the fuel surcharge, which is paid at the time of air ticket purchase by international airline customer, will be increased for the tickets that will be issued in April 2017 and so on. The reason is for the rise in fuel price and depreciation of Japanese yen.
Tickets that will be issued from April 1 to May 31 are eligible. A fuel surcharge per one way section for a passenger will raise from 3500 yen to 7000 yen for the flights from Japan to North America, Middle East, and Oceania excluding Europe and Hawaii, from 2000 yen to 4000 yen for the flights from Japan to Hawaii, India and Indonesia.
Japan Airlines announced on the 16th the fuel surcharge will be increased for the tickets that will be issued in April and so on as well because of the same reason.

On February 9, Singapore Airlines ordered 39 aircrafts of Boeing 777 - 9 and 787 - 10. The breakdown is 20 new orders of 777-9 and 19 additional orders of 787-10. This purchase is equivalent to a total of 13.8 billion dollars (1.5 trillion yen) in catalog prices. In addition, they option-ordered 6 of 777-9 and 6 of 787-10. Finally the total number purchased will be 51 aircrafts when all orders are fixed.

Spring Japan started operating Narita - Tianjin line three round trips a week on January 28th. On the next day 29th, they opened Narita - Harbin line four round trips a week.

LCC dedicated international terminal (The 2nd Terminal Building) of Kansai Airport opened on January 28th. Peach Aviation based at Kansai Airport is on first, and Spring Japan will also use the same terminal from March.

All Nippon Airways announced on January 19 that they will increase Haneda - Jakarta line from August. They secure domestic transit demand by setting flights leaving Haneda at midnight and arriving in the evening at Jakarta. Two round trips a day will be operated.
Along with the increase of flights between Haneda and Jakarta, Narita - Bangkok - Jakarta - Narita line that is operated as a freight flight will be out of service from March 25. After increasing the number of passenger flights, the underfloor cargo space is utilized for cargos.
