Bekal Fort and Coastline
A coastal fort landscape with sea-facing walls, dramatic geometry and travel photography potential.

Kasaragod, Kerala, India

A place to read light, movement, and context
Bekal Fort combines laterite fortifications, wide sea views, palm-lined coastline and open architectural vantage points. It is strong for landscape, travel and architectural photography, especially when the fort walls frame the Arabian Sea. The location also works for storytelling around Kerala's northern coastal history.

Meivazhisalai
Meivazhi Salai is a unique spiritual village in the Illuppur taluk of Pudukkottai, about 20 km from Pudukkottai city. It is the headquarters of the Meivazhi ("True Path"), a spiritual movement founded by Meivazhi Salai Andavargal."

"A strong emphasis on simple living, equality, and spirituality. The traditional core of the village has no conventional electricity; residents historically lived in thatched huts to avoid social inequality, though solar power is now used for essential lighting."

"Smoking, alcohol, gambling, theft, and non-vegetarian food are prohibited within the community. Followers come from many different religions and castes, reflecting the movement's belief in the unity of all faiths. Male followers traditionally wear white turbans and white attire, while women cover their heads with a scarf or saree pallu during worship."
