The story was about the theft of two paintings worth Rs 400 crore from an agricultural research centre of the Indian government. When Senior IAS officer Kamal got to know about, he starts the investigation and try to find out the truth about the paintings. Many people helped him in his investigation like Abhijeet Singh, SP Tushar Mishra etc.

I liked the love story of Devika and Svetoslav Roerich, not the more good one but it was good. And the story of Asif and Abbas was also good. It defines how the differences of opinion can affect humanity. I liked the role of Amitabh also.

They were many characters in this book. It was difficult to remember the characters in starting. But when the book grips the story, it was interesting to read.

Overall, the book was good to read and interesting also. After starting the book, you can't left the book at one place. The author has written a story in different year and different cities which are connected to each other.

Akash was devastated after wife Nisha's death due to cancer and he tried to recover from his past for his daughter, Sara. He was reading a letter daily which her wife was written before her death. It became a routine for him. He was very much in love with her and wanted to live with her support. Sara was the only due to her he was to be happy. But her mother and his boss Mr. Raichand wanted him to again start his new life with new partner which was impossible for him.

Subah, a painter who also runs a NGO for women whose lives have been ruined by abusive men. She hated men because she himself dumped by men for another women.

One day, they both met accidentally but no one fell in love but from this a beautiful story starts which will intriguing the reader to read the book.

The book was good to read and the language of the book was also understandable. The book cover was not so soothing. I read many love stories till now that's why I feel this book was not so different from others but you can't ignore this book. This is a one-time read and not a time-consuming book. You can definitely choose to read this book.

In "Rama of the Axe," Ranjith Radhakrishnan skillfully reimagines the age-old tale of Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, in a way that enthrals and captivates. The book dives into the often-overlooked human aspects of Parashurama, allowing readers to witness his transformation from a fierce warrior burdened by an aggressive reputation to a nuanced character with a range of emotions like grief, joy, curiosity, and spiritual strength.
The conventional perception of Parashurama as an arrogant and aggressive figure is challenged, urging readers to delve deeper into his story. The transformation from Ramabhadra to Parashurama, catalyzed by a tragic incident involving his mother, sets the stage for an epic confrontation with his adversary, Arjuna. The narrative intricately weaves together prophecy, duty, and fate, crafting a rich tapestry of storytelling.
Ramabhadra's journey to divinity is marred by trials and tribulations, commencing with the sudden loss of his father and guru. This loss propels him towards a path of vengeance, but the narrative beautifully unfolds the importance of self-mastery before seeking retribution. Radhakrishnan's writing style infuses a sense of realism, enhancing the overall immersive reading experience.
The book excels in its meticulous depiction of battles, spiritual evolution, and the transformation of Ramabhadra into Parashurama. The detailed exploration of these aspects makes for an engrossing read, further heightened by the author's adeptness at infusing drama, suspense, and poetry.
Ranjith Radhakrishnan deserves commendation for his attention to detail, be it in faithfully describing the characters or seamlessly incorporating Sanskrit words and Indian names of trees to evoke a sense of authenticity in the narrative. "Rama of the Axe" unfolds a lesser-known personality in Indian mythology, shedding light on Parashurama's becomingβ€”an epic journey from mortal, Ramabhadra, to the formidable avatar, Parashurama.
Ranjith Radhakrishnan's work is an invitation to rediscover and reimagine a revered figure of Indian mythology.
