Many follow their profession for survival whereas few follow their passion as a profession. And those who follow their passion with so much compassion and commitment, success belongs to them.
Sweta singh started her career in print media and later she become one of the most known journalist and TV anchor in electronic media. She is the only journalist who has won maximum awards in a single year. In the year 2016, Sweta received almost 12 awards for her work in the industry. These awards belong to different verticals like the best reporter, best anchor and the best producer which talks about her experience and expertise.
Sweta singh was born in Patna and kicked off her career here while pursuing her first year of mass communication at Patna University. She started her journalism journey with TIMES OF INDIA & HINDUSTAN TIMES, Patna and later moved to electronic media in 1998. She worked for Zee News and Sahara, before joining Aaj Tak in 2002. She is known for her expertise in covering sports-related news. Her show Sourav ka Sixer won the award for best sports programme by the Sports Journalism Federation of India (SJFI) in 2005.
She has also made appearances in some films, like Chak De! India and Chakravyuhas an Aaj Tak news presenter. She also became a guest on Kapil Sharma's show and talked about her aspiration to become a filmmaker as her childhood dream.
Now it’s been 24 years for her as a journalist and close to 15 years with AAJ TAK. Off late she was covering the Russia - Ukraine war as her ground zero reporting. Along with this she also shared the relevance of CHATH PUJA and shared her experience.
