Job Description – Senior/Lead QS Engineer (CMEI) – Oil & Gas (Oman)
Position: Senior/Lead Quantity Survey (QS) Engineer – CMEI
Location: Oman
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: OMR 800–900 per month
✅Qualification
🔸Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
🔸Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
🔸GCC project experience is preferred.
🔸Proven experience in multi-disciplinary EPC/industrial projects.
✅Key Responsibilities
🔸Manage quantity surveying activities for CMEI (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) projects.
🔸Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
🔸Monitor and control project costs and budgets.
🔸Evaluate and process variation orders.
🔸Prepare, manage, and negotiate project claims.
🔸Measure work progress and verify completed quantities.
🔸Support contract administration and commercial management.
🔸Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
🔸Ensure commercial compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
🔸Prepare periodic cost reports and project documentation.
✅Required Skills
🔸Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and commercial management.
🔸Experience in cost control, BOQs, variation orders, and claims management.
🔸Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
🔸Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
🔸Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying/commercial management software is an advantage.
