EnAble India is starting their first training on ‘Compitetive Exam Preparation for Banking’ for persons with vision impairment. EnAble India is conducting this training in collaboration with Summit Careers, Bangalore. Summit Careers has expertise in conducting coaching classes to help the aspiring visually impaired candidates in preparing for the banking examination. The training details are as follows:

Start Date: 20th August 2019
End Date: 19th October 2019
Venue: EnAble India campus, Kormangala 8th Block, Bangalore

Eligibility Criteria:
• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University,
• Computer literate – Basic operations along with knowledge of MS Word & Excel,
• Good understanding of English and Maths basics
• Passing the entrance exam conducted by Enable India
The 2 month training will focus on revising the basic computer skills and increasing domain knowledge to pass banking examinations. Domain knowledge sessions will be facilitated by expert trainers from Summit Careers. In the domain knowledge sessions, the following concepts will be covered:
1. Quantitative Ability
2. Reasoning Ability
3. Verbal Ability
4. General Awareness
5. Mathematics

Social integration is a huge break through like project for the candidates training at EnAble India, as it aims to break the barriers between the candidates, their families and the society around them on the whole. It allows them to perform those tasks that they are not allowed to perform otherwise at home or else where, due to their visual challenge. This time too was no different.

By breaking such barriers, the candidates rise up and evolve to become stronger, more confident individuals who then feel better equipped to take on the world around them. This project gets them to explore themselves and exposes them to their inner strengths hidden within.

The Tasks, could be varying in nature, like ironing one's own clothes, buying one's own dresses, booking a cab independently, cooking one's own food, operating an ATM by oneself, walking alone on road etc.

Completing these tasks, gives candidates a sense of achievement and accomplishment, more importantly, builds their confidence by erasing the doubts in the minds of their parents/surrounding folk, about their incapability to do things. This brings about a significant change in the way that families and friends alike treat and look at these candidates, in day-to-day life with renewed hope and delight.

developing a true social platform for persons at the bottom of the

world. It is a social media platform for rural India that aims to

We all get so busy with our daily activities that somewhere we tend to lose our enthusiasm to work. We all need something to refresh ourselves from our regular work and training, One such activity which boosts up our energy and helps us learn, work with eagerness throughout the week with full of enjoyment and energy is Hobby Club.

In our busy lives, we do not give time for hobbies and hence many of us don't have hobbies atall. They help us to be creative and provide us the spark needed to think out of the box, on a problem-solving level in our work or other tasks in life. When we enjoy our hobby, we reduce the negative stress in our life by focusing on the positive stuff.

Our Moto is to enjoy the training and work as effectively as we can so that we would not feel the heat of the training as much and the pressure of any assignments given to us. To fulfill our Moto, we innaugurated the Hobby Club at EnAble India on Monday, 13th of November 2017. The function was organised by us, CCCT candidates and innaugurated by the chief guest Mr. Vinayak trainer an ex CCCT candidate himself. The event was also attended by other guests like Mr. Sivashankar, Babhitha, Yogitha and Hamsini who graced the occasion and made it a memorable event for all of us.

Hi Everyone,

We are looking to start Employability for PWVI in IT Enabled Services - a 3 month training program in the 2nd or 3rd week of October.

By the end of this training we are aiming to get an employable pool of those who will be suitable and/or are looking for ITES jobs.

For the same our Sourcing Criteria is:
1)Candidates who have completed 12th and above.
2)Candidates with basic computer knowledge.
3)Candidates who have a good understanding of screen reader and other assistive aids.
4)Candidates who have average to good spoken and written English.
5)Candidates who would be able to comprehend and respond appropriately.

As part of the self-discovery, candidates are encouraged to identify their everyday challenges and think of innovative solutions to solve these challenges. This makes the candidates confident, independent and solution-centric. The projects include Solutions to make travel easy for a person with Vision Impairment, Solutions used in a premise to make it accessible for VIs to move around independently
• Project stalls for candidates to display the outcome of their projects undertaken in the last 3 months.
• Demonstration of solutions used by persons with visual impairment
• Journey so far – Candidates would be sharing their experience and learning from their journey so far with Enable India.

The candidates of CCCT 2016/2017 had been to Allegis for resume and interview preparation sessions. Allegis is a recruitment firm which is helping CCCT candidates in their interview and resume preparations in a systematic way through training sessions and mock sessions. They are training the candidates starting from preparing and building their resumes in an effective and a presentable way, to making them understand the challenges and intricacies of a corporate environment and work culture. They have also been training the candidates on topics like aptitude and soft skills which are very much needed during the interviews. They are focusing on each and every candidate, by conducting assessments on English language, communication skills, email writing skills and giving feedback to them individually, to help them improve themselves on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. Their valuable feedback has helped our candidates to work on their flaws, prepare well for their interviews, get exposed to the aspects of corporate work culture. Allegis has also been taking mock interviews too through which our candidates have had the experience of facing and cracking an interview.

Allegis and EnAble India have together also conducted recruitment workshops to train selected candidates on basics of HR and recruitment, with employees of Allegis themselves sharing few important materials and their "on the job" experiences to train candidates on theoretical aspects of recruitment and HR. The candidates for the workshop were shortlisted based on their performance in the assessments conducted by the volunteers from Allegis. This has paved the way for many candidates to begin their careers at Allegis having done well in the workshop and having got through the interview rounds. They have been very effective as recruiters on the floor and have successfully come a long way in their career paths.

We thank Allegis and their volunteer team for supporting our candidates continuously in shaping up their personality and developing them into "well prepared" individuals to work efficiently in corporates. We also take pride in appreciating and admiring the work done by Allegis in partnership with EnAble India through various volunteer programs, which has impacted the lives of many aspiring candidates to build their careers from the very beginning. The "train and hire" model of Allegis in association with EnAble India has indeed proven to be a milestone and a break through to depict the magic that can be created when a corporate and an NGO come together to help individuals grow, by providing them with an opportunity to change, from being an ordinary person having many passionate aspirations, to individuals with many dreams and goals, but with a constructive roadmap to scale greater heights in their careers.
