They will shut the door in your face
Hung up the phone while you are in a middle of a sentence...
They'll show you that your existence is invalid.
Their ignorance will swallow whole the devotion you had to offer.
That's when you will learn most the significance of things unspoken, hands untouched and people unloved.
Its significant. Very painful kind of significant.

Then you also meet people who will open doors and windows and every god-damn corner of their lives for you.
They will complete your sentences.
They will acknowledge your face like the light they have been looking for. They will say your name like a prayer. And that's when you will learn most the significance of things said, hands held and people loved.
Its significant. Very blissful kind of significant.

Between these two prominent altars where hearts are cracked open. Lovers swing. Poets bleed. Humanity wanders. God leads.
