From April 27–30, Bell Living Lab joined NEXT @ Fashion InStyle 2026 in Hong Kong — bringing coffee waste into conversations around material innovation, fashion, and functional design.

What started as discarded coffee grounds became a medium for connection:
with designers, brands, manufacturers, and curious minds from around the world.

At our booth, people didn’t just see products.
They touched the material, explored the texture, folded the forms, and discovered how waste can be transformed into something functional, refined, and relevant for everyday life.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared ideas, and became part of the conversation.
This is only the beginning of what sustainable materials can become.

From waste to possibility.
From coffee waste to functional materials.

Trying to shop better shouldn’t mean giving up your personal style 👀

Because honestly…
a lot of “sustainable products” still feel:
too serious, too earthy, or just not very you.

At Bell Living Lab, we’re trying to change that.

We design pieces that are meant to fit into real everyday life —
for work days, coffee runs, meetings, quick trips, and everything in between.

So instead of making products that look sustainable,
we focus on making products people actually want to wear and use first.

Good function.
Good design.
Sustainability naturally follows 💚

What if a wallet didn’t need extra layers, bulky construction, or complicated parts to function?

Beta Fold starts from a single flat surface.
Then gradually transforms through folds, tension, and structure into an everyday carry object.

No unnecessary additions.
Just intentional form meeting function.

Designed to stay compact, flexible, and easy to carry through daily movement.

From flat to function.
Defined by form, shaped by use.

Bell Living Lab was given the opportunity to be part of the Melbourne International Coffee Expo, invited by the Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne.

What started as a small idea has taken us further than we imagined.
To share our space, our process, and our story on an international stage is something we will always be grateful for.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.
This moment belongs to all of us.

A new chapter, grown from what we throw away. ☕

The material? Coffee harvest waste, bound with a natural binder and mold-formed into a quiet, tactile surface. No plastics, no resins — just the leftovers of a daily ritual, reimagined as something you can sit on, live with, return to.

We believe the next generation of objects will come from rethinking what we already have. This is one small answer.

Every product starts from somewhere.
Before it becomes a bag, a table, or an object —
it begins as a material taken from the Earth.

That’s why the conversation shouldn’t stop at design.
It should start earlier.

At the material level.
Today, more designers are rethinking where materials come from — exploring alternatives from waste and renewable sources.

Because what we choose to use
shapes what we leave behind.

What do you think matters more today:
design or material?
👇 Curious to hear your thoughts.

Beyond the conference.

What started as a conversation
became something you could actually make.

Together with IHG Hotels & Resorts,
we held a hands-on workshop where ideas moved beyond discussion — into material, process, and form.

Participants explored how materials can be shaped, assembled, and experienced directly.

Because sometimes, understanding design
doesn’t come from seeing—
but from making.
