Arrangement on disbursing the $20,000 subsidy to foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) employed at Wang F*k Court, Tai Po

All FDHs employed at Wang F*k Court in Tai Po at the time of the fire are eligible to apply for a special subsidy of HK$20,000. To facilitate FDHs’ applications for the subsidy, a special counter will be set up on 6 and 7 December 2025 (Saturday and Sunday) from 11:00 to 17:00 hours at 16/F, One Mong Kok Road Commercial Centre, 1 Mong Kok Road, Kowloon to answer enquiries and receive applications. Applicants can also return the attached application form by fax (3101 0604), email ([email protected]) or by post.

The Labour Department is deeply saddened by the fire incident at Wang F*k Court in Tai Po. We extend our deepest condolences to families of those who tragically lost their lives and wishes all the injured a speedy recovery.

To provide assistance to foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) and their employers affected by the fire, the Labour Department will set up a Special Enquiry Counter to answer enquiries on FDH-related employment matters with details as follows:

Dates: 29 and 30 November 2025 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Venue: Tai Po Complex (8 Heung Sze Wui Street, Tai Po, NT)

Affected FDHs and employers who have enquiries regarding employment matters may also call our dedicated hotline set up for this incident at 3582 8987.

【菲傭肉身護3個月大嬰兒感動眾人😭救出時仍抱緊BB！網民 : 人性光輝的一面】
大埔宏福苑日前發生的五級大火，至今已造成過百人傷亡，全城陷入一片哀傷之中🕯️。然而，在這場無情災難裡，我們卻見證了最偉大的人性光輝！🥺

一名剛抵港工作僅數天的菲律賓籍女傭 Rhodora Alcaraz，火警發生時與只有 3 個月大的嬰兒被困火場數小時。面對濃煙烈火，Rhodora 的妹妹一度在社交平台拍片哭訴求救🆘，情況令人焦急！但在生死關頭，Rhodora 展現了驚人勇氣，選擇用自己的肉身緊緊護著BB，用自己的身體充當盾牌，確保了BB的安全，直至消防員趕到將兩人救出時，她依然維持著緊抱BB的姿勢！😭😭

萬幸的是，BB 經治療後目前情況穩定👶🏻，但這位盡忠職守的 Rhodora 卻因傷勢嚴重，目前仍需在 ICU 插喉留醫🏥。雖然剛抵港工作僅數天，但她把BB當成親人一樣守護，這份無私的愛實在令人動容！💔

【宏福苑大火丨印尼駐港總領事：仍有11名印傭生死未卜 會與入境處保持聯絡】
香港大埔宏福苑五級火警，災情牽動全城人心。11月28日，印尼駐港總領事Yul Edison接受傳媒訪問時表示，有逾百名印傭居住在宏福苑，目前有11人仍然失蹤。他形容感到傷心，領事館連續兩日都派員到場觀察，亦向遇難者家屬致以慰問。他指領事館已聯絡相關印傭在家鄉的親人，呼籲保持冷靜，會提供一切可行協助，也會與入境處保持聯絡，向受事件影響遺失護照的印傭辦理證件手續。

傳為宏福苑工程承保的中國太平保險 (966)，回應傳媒時未有否認傳聞，指出現時最迫切是幫助居民，其員工今早已在整理文件、正在處理該屋苑事宜；公司若有新消息會回覆傳媒。

據網上流傳的保險條款，國際專業保險諮詢協會會長羅少雄分析，20億元保額足夠支付大廈重建費用，但對每一事件保額1000萬元，「我們不會建議買這麼少」，因「第三者責任」保額若低於法團需賠償的金額，法團要自行承擔。

中國太平股價今日最多曾跌5.3%見16.77元，收市挫1.9%，報17.9元。

In order to enhance the awareness of foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) on their employment rights, the Labour Department (LD) will conduct an online briefing for FDHs on 23 March 2025 (Sunday). LD has also invited a representative from the Hong Kong Police Force to give our participants an anti-money laundering talk providing information on anti-money laundering and fraudsters’ practices and advice on how to protect personal bank accounts.

The briefing will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia and Tagalog.

Details of the briefing are as follows:
Date: 23 March 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm (Bahasa Indonesia session);
3:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Tagalog session)

Platform: Zoom (Real-time)
(Participants are required to arrange their own computers or mobile devices with Internet access)
