CID Ghana

CID Ghana CID Ghana, a ten year old development and volunteer organization, carry out its mission in the dynamic northern city of Tamale.

Cooperation of integrated development-Ghana (CID-Ghana) is a small organization based in Tamale, Northern Ghana. The organization supports development raising from local initiative. The work of CID stands on two legs. First is the development projects where CID set up projects based on needs and ideas proposed by the local community. Second is the Volunteer program where CID mediate international volunteers to local organizations in need of manpower and exchange of ideas.

Finally our longest stayed and youngest volunteer Mira from Germeny has completed her six month volunteer service and what is amazing is that she had no malaria through out her stay and she never took any anti malaria drugs Hm. It seems Magic and a dream but this was the reality.

We are happy to announce further donation of 500GBP from Ghana School Aid as a support for the 6class room primary school building project at Tampei Kukuo and Yapalsi community. This bring to account a total of 1500 GBP Support so far from Ghana School aid. We are very grateful.

We want to introduce a new Sponsor coordinator for CID-Europe; Laura Visser will take over the job from Ieteke.
Ieteke has decided to stop after years of interest, enthusiasm and helping CID in many ways. We want to thank Ieteke for everything she has done in those years!

Laura was also a volunteer for 5 months in Tamale on the Yumba Special School last year.

From now on she'll take over the coordination from the sponsorkids with still a little help from Ieteke and the other members of CID-Europe.

From Ghana we've received a few school reports; soon Laura will send you the reports.
