AGE Ghana is aimed at turning the entrepreneurial dreams of graduates to reality. The Association will accomplish this by transforming the mindset of graduates from “being employees” to “employers”. The educational structure seems to focus more on raising employees rather than employers and it is our aim to compliment the traditional-structured education where student graduate and are job-creators. Our purpose is to train and raise individuals who will learn to make-money-work for them rather than them working for money. Currently, thousands graduates from our universities, polytechnics and other tertiary recognized institutions every year hopping to be employed into the various public and private enterprises. The enterprises numbered a few, and cannot satisfy the need of employing all these graduates. This has resulted in high graduate unemployment rate affecting the country’s development which has inhibited the growth of the Ghanaian economy. It is with this effect that AGE, Ghana was establish to mop-up unemployed graduates, train them (-changing their mindset to a more positive direction of letting them take their own responsibilities than to blame any government for their failure of becoming who they dream to become), establish their ideas, support them with small business start-up capitals and resources, monitor the performances of those businesses and help them grow the set-ups and the nation as well.
