I reduce mental health and wellbeing issues caused by a lack of workplace skills, lack of understanding of the workplace or a strong feeling of being stuck either in the wrong career, or not managing to move forward in the right one.

I talk a lot about career and life change with my clients, because neither are linear. They WILL include squiggles, his and lows, changes of direction and other things you weren't expecting.

Many clients come to me wanting or expecting change to have to be huge leaps, big uncomfortable leapfrogs out of comfort zones. But the reality is, small and steady wins the race. Often it's about making mini comfortable pivots, or stepping stones towards bigger longer term goals. And those small steps are unique to you. What's the next small step you're willing, keen and excited to take? Bonus point: share in the comments for extra accountability.

Photo credit to me, taking a little career pivot I wasn't expecting when I woke up this morning, of videographer, when listening to the brilliant Gabby do her talk at the fab Face2Face Maidenhead Business Show today. I hoped I passed the task 🤣.

Ticket booked.

Who is joining me at CIPD's Festival of Work this year?

I'll be there on the Thursday and keen to see:
How transformational leaders create change with Diana Osagie💫
What does skills planning look like in the age of AI? with Steve George Chartered FCIPD, FRSA and Lizzie Crowley
The journey to a skills-based organisation (there's a theme emerging here!)

And many  more....

Bit gutted that whilst there are two sessions about supporting parents (VERY important topic and glad to see them) there aren't any at all about supporting those without children (who form 1 in 4 of the workforce), which shows there is still a fundamental misunderstanding of what the issue is and why those people need that extra support and to simply be seen.  Would be great if our professional body could lead the way in this.

Also looking forward to seeing the stands and networking with those I know and hopefully many others I'm yet to have the pleasure of meeting as there is so much learning value in that.

Am looking forward to catching up with Abby Lacey Assoc CIPD, Mo Kanjilal and I'm sure many others! Who from my network will be there and what are you looking forward to?

Well that was an epic weekend...

I spent Saturday with a group of amazing women.

Unfortunately some were poorly so we ended up with a small but perfectly formed group of 12.

And each and every one of them blew me away.

With their insights.
Their vulnerability.
Their willingness to share that.
And coming along with an open mind, willing to try the tools I had organised for them. Some from the book, some not.

It's no wonder the feedback was 100% 4 - 5 stars out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Just some of the insights gained and shared included:

A new business focus
A realisation of what her 'why' is
An understanding that family matters but so does she
A new found love of using images in collage to gain insights
A belief in herself and what she stands for
A decision to stop playing small
And not wishing to be dramatic but the term 'life changing' has been thrown around too...

And that's the thing. My work supports people with their careers but their lives beyond that. It's about tapping into who you are, what you really want and how you want to move forward and show up in your life and maybe your work too. And that can literally be life changing, it's why my work is both professional and personal. Personal to them and personal to me because I so care about what I do. I want everyone to love their life and career as I do mine.

Because a day like this spent with such inspiring women the day before I turned 45? Wow. What a way to live.

‘Will I have to stand and present to everyone?’.

That was the question I got asked by a potential participant of my Time to Shine event happening this Saturday (16th May).

The simple answer: No! Not if you don’t want to.

I’m holding an inclusive, safe space for all women, to have some time and space to breathe and think what is next for them.

It’s ok if you’re a parent or not; we’ll listen but we won’t judge.

It’s ok if you’re here because a relationship is ending, or starting, or both; we’ll listen but we won’t judge.

It’s ok if hormones are raging and you don’t know which way is up; we’ll listen but we won’t judge.

It’s ok if nothing dramatic is going on, life just feels a bit ‘meh’; we’ll listen but we won’t judge.

It’s ok if you want to stand up and shout out about how fabulous you are; we’ll listen but we won’t judge.

And it’s ok if you want to just quietly listen, use the tools, reflect on your own and not share too much. We’ll be there, and we won’t judge.

This retreat is all about creating a safe space for you to shut out the noise, and listen to your inner self and start showing up as your authentic self, living the life you really want.

One space left and today is the last chance to book it. Link in bio.

Want the truth? I wrote a book about confidence but am not always great at saying what I'm great at.

But here goes...I run bloomin brilliant events!

Whether it's book launches, careers festivals or workshops for fabulous women, you can guarantee I'll go the extra mile and make it a really beneficial experience for everyone.

If you want to leave a session with me feeling that rock solid confidence in knowing what you're great at, who you are, how you want to show up authentically in your life, and how you move on after changes (everything from perimenopause to childbirth to things now just feeling a bit 'meh') then this is your last chance to book the final spot for Time to Shine.

I had a recent client who didn’t arrive burnt out or broken. She arrived capable and confused.

From the outside, everything worked. Internally, it felt off. Through structured reflection and practical decision work, she didn’t reinvent herself.

She refined.

The fog lifted because we reduced the noise. That’s often the difference.

Clarity doesn’t require drama. It requires attention.

Comment ‘clarity’ if you’re feeling confused and want a free tool to help you make some decisions.

You’re tired of making decisions all day long...

All your energy has gone and all you can do is scroll…which bores you, zaps your energy more and makes you feel a bit rubbish about yourself, but you have no energy for anything else.

Your brain isn’t weak, it’s maxed out.

Decision fatigue is neurological, not weakness. The more cognitive load you carry across work, home and relationships, the less capacity you have for reflective decisions.

It’s not just (peri)menopause making your head feel ‘foggy’ it’s exhaustion from too much noise, too many people wanting a piece of you, not enough time to sit and breathe.

To tap into the inner voice inside which could guide you, and make you feel less confused. If only you would give her the space and listen to her.

Time to Shine, the retreat day to help you take that time is happening in just over a week on the 16th May.

Only two spots left…put yourself first for once. Join the other 13 women who are all looking for some peace and quiet and time to think with some great tools to help you tap into your inner voice, decide what’s next and how you want to show up as your authentic self.

And the fabulous Lucy form LuLu Boutique will be joining us to give us some authentic style advice too.

Grab your spot via link in bio.

We’ve been taught that confidence is loud. That in work you need to 'shout' to get on. I don’t agree.

There’s a particular kind of confidence that doesn’t perform. It doesn’t announce itself. It doesn’t need applause. It’s steady and measured.

We’ve been sold the idea that confidence has to be 'in your face' visible to count. I’m not convinced. Some of the strongest most successful women I know and who are fabulous clients, move quietly, they progress in their careers because they know how to show up in a way that is authentic to them. They don’t posture. They don’t over-explain. They just decide to be them.

Clarity doesn't have to be loud, but it does have to be consistent.  Never stopping working on yourself is a great way to achieve that, for both your life and career.

Comment ‘quiet’ if you’re looking to build your inner confidence, and your external presence, in a less ‘shouty’ way, but don’t know how.

There’s something powerful that happens when you stop trying to think your way forward… and start to see it instead.

In coaching, images cut through the noise. They bypass overthinking, self-doubt, and all the 'shoulds' you’ve been carrying for years.
They help you reconnect with what you actually want, not what you’ve been told to want.

That’s why I use visual work like this with my clients.
The collages you see here aren’t just 'nice pictures',  they’re honest, surprising, and often deeply revealing.
Again and again, women tell me this is the moment things shift.

✨ Clarity replaces confusion
✨ Energy replaces exhaustion
✨ Direction replaces 'what am I even doing?'

If you’ve been feeling stuck, questioning everything, or like you’ve somehow lost yourself along the way… this work can change things faster than you might expect.

And it’s exactly what we’ll be doing together at the upcoming retreat, Time to Shine (link in bio).

Right now, tickets are 50% off until the end of the week  (using the code 50CLIENTSFEB) and with only a small group, spaces are almost gone (12 already booked) and next week the price goes up to the late booking fee..

If something in you is nudging you… trust it.

If booking feels like too big a step, send me a DM or comment below as your first step, and I'll give you guidance on how to move forward.

Where did all the men go? Hear me out…

I recently ran a workshop about women in the workplace.

No men turned up.

The problem is, we need men to be our allies. We need them to join us in normalising equality and joining the conversations. When we say we’re against the patriarchy, it’s not men we have a problem with, it’s the system built around excluding everyone else.

Is that too bitter a pill to swallow for men?

Or are they just unsure how to help?

In my book, The Career Confidence Toolkit for Women, I chatted with Lucy who has spent her career in male-dominated sectors. We discussed the things that we need:

Allyship - standing up for women, even when they’re not in the room

That might look like stopping abuse disguised as ‘banter’

Or it might look like sponsoring women as the best person for the job

It might involve taking a long hard look at your leadership group and asking why there are so few women in it

Or it might even look like acknowledging 1 in 4 people are permanently without children, and yet women are so often discriminated against over parenting assumptions.

What else would you add to the list?

Whatever is on the list, we're stronger together, supporting each other to move forward to a more equal future.

Huge thanks to the amazing Steph for the photo of me taken at Robyn's IWD event.
