We are currently recruiting a number of Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our very busy (and lovely) team based in Brasted (between Westerham and Sevenoaks and a 15-20 minute drive from Caterham / Warlingham area).
Alexander Associates are experts within Technical and Engineering recruitment and we are experiencing growth with our Water, Rail and Structures divisions in Kent and our London office has grown within the residential and construction sectors. We recruit contract and permanent specialist Engineers throughout the UK and we anticipate a great few years ahead of us here at Alexander Associates.

As a person, you’ll be an outstanding communicator, with an excellent telephone manner, you will be tenacious, self-motivated, inquisitive and a problem solver with the ability to develop strong relationships quickly. Alexanders pay excellent salaries and commission with the addition of quarterly incentives (weekends away, fine dining meals, cash bonuses etc). Our consultants come from a variety of backgrounds… estate agency, travel agency, telesales, customers service, account management, other recruitment agencies - this not an exhaustive list just an idea - if you think you could do it call us!

The office sits within a lovely, village and countryside environment with a local pub (you might find us there of a lunchtime) but we have the benefit of having an office in the City of London (10 mins from London Bridge) so when we want a slightly faster pace we can work from that office and head out after work.

We are currently recruiting a part time payroll clerk to join our very busy (and lovely) team based in Brasted (between Westerham and Sevenoaks).

Alexander Associates are experts within Technical and Engineering recruitment and we are experiencing growth with our Water, Rail and Structures divisions in Kent and our London office has grown within the residential and construction sectors. We recruit contract and permanent specialist Engineers throughout the UK and we anticipate a great few years ahead of us here at Alexander Associates.

We have a positive culture and employee retention is excellent. The payroll team are very well established but that doesn’t mean they are stuck in their ways, the team have just successfully adopted a new pay and charge timesheet system that has allowed us to scale our business substantially whilst offering our team a more flexible working environment.

We are ideally looking to cover the following times (but there is flexibility):

Monday: 4-6 hrs (Flex start / finish time)
Tuesday: Poss day off
Wednesday: 4-6hrs (Flex start / finish time)
Thursday: 4-6 hrs (Flex start / finish time)
Friday: Poss day off / 2-4 hrs

As a person, you’ll be an expert organiser, accurate with excellent attention to detail. You will be unafraid of computers, have an excellent telephone manner and be a team person.

We are not a typical recruitment agency; we are niche not just in our specialisms but also in how we work. We value our staff and recognise they are the key to our success.

We are open to considering a range of experience levels, from payroll clerks within an agency environment or accountancy background to people returning to work with transferable skills.

We’re not specifically looking for someone that has previous recruitment experience, we are looking for someone adaptable that can grow and develop with this role. From here, in terms of career development, the opportunities are endless; we are not set in our ways and realise there is not a 'one size fits all' when it comes to our career paths so we are fluid in our approach.
As a person, you’ll be an expert organiser, have a great telephone manner and a ‘get stuff done’ attitude. Ideally you’ll have experience using Microsoft packages and Outlook but most of all, you’ll be a master at multitasking.
Whichever division you work in you would be joining an established and hugely experienced and successful team, you will be supported and trained on the job and mentored by an Associate / Director.
Duties will Involve speaking to and registering candidates over the phone, fielding calls for the team whilst forming relationships with new and existing candidates. As a Resourcer, you will also be involved in conducting market research, helping out the team with admin duties and helping us keep our very busy team in check (don’t be afraid to boss us around!) by taking on multiple tasks to assist in the success and smooth running of the division.
