An industry leading manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced H&S Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental practices across its operations.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and with the support of a H&S Administrator, you will ensure critical E.H.S compliance, driving continuous improvement and embedding a strong health & safety culture within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Environmental, Health & Safety (E.H.S) across the business
Act as the company’s Competent Person for Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, regulations and best practice
Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 9001
Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections
Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and incident investigations
Ensure sites have in place COSHH & Riddor assessments.
Support the development of health & safety management systems.
Deliver structured Health & Safety training to employees and management
Control and manage contractor safety on site
Liaise with external bodies, regulators and auditors
Provide clear, proactive EHS advice to senior management
The Ideal Health & Safety Manager Candidate:
Proven Snr Health & Safety experience within manufacturing / production Environment
NEBOSH qualified
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards
Experience of COSHH requirements and management
Experience leading audits, risk assessments and compliance programmes
Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels
Proactive, organised and improvement-driven
