We're hiring a Recruitment Consultant at Chefs Bay - Chefs & Kitchen Staff Agency.

Based in Liscard, Wirral. Hybrid working.

Chefs Bay supplies temporary chefs and kitchen staff, and this is a busy temp desk with real names on it. Our staff work Premier League matchdays, racecourse meetings and major events for some of the biggest contract caterers in the country. When a top flight stadium needs close to 30 chefs before kick off, we're the agency that fills it.

That's the desk you'd help run.

What you'll be doing:
- Sourcing, screening and onboarding temporary hospitality staff
- Matching candidates to shifts and managing bookings
- Building relationships with clients and candidates that last
- Keeping compliance and availability up to date
- Handling last minute bookings, cancellations and changes
- Running staff and event check-ins
- Working to individual and company targets
- Growing existing accounts and winning new ones

Who does well here:
- You've worked to targets, whether that's recruitment, sales, account management or hospitality
- You're confident on the phone with clients and candidates
- You're organised and you follow through
- You stay calm when the day changes at 4pm, because sometimes it will
- You hold a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle

Recruitment or hospitality experience helps, but it isn't essential. We can teach the rest.

Hours:
Mostly Monday to Friday, hybrid, with a minimum of 1 to 2 days a week in the Liscard office. Temporary hospitality means some weekend and evening work, mainly event check-ins and urgent cover. You get TOIL for the extra hours.

What we offer:
- Salary of ÂŁ28,000 basic, plus commission after probation
- Hybrid working
- Your birthday off every year
- Private medical insurance after probation
- TOIL for additional hours

Send your CV and a short cover note to [email protected]

People see the finished dish.

They don’t see the hands behind it.

The chopping.
The plating.
The endless small movements repeated until they become natural.

That’s the craft of a chef.

Every kitchen remembers that one chef.

The one who made busy shifts feel calmer.
Who helped without being asked.
Who made the whole team better just by being there.

That kind of reliability never goes unnoticed.

You can feel the tension in some kitchens instantly.

Before service even starts, everyone already feels stressed.

No communication.
No teamwork.
No space for people to speak honestly.

That kind of environment slowly drains teams.

Strong kitchens protect people as much as they protect service.

Chefs can handle pressure better than most people realise.

What wears people down is feeling alone inside that pressure.

Feeling unheard.
Unappreciated.
Unsupported every busy weekend.

That’s when people emotionally disconnect from the kitchen.

And once that happens, burnout follows quickly.

Comment “SUPPORTED” if this hit home.

Managers notice attitude before anything else.

Your energy.
Your communication.
How you react when pressure hits.

Because skill matters, but reliability and awareness are what teams remember long term.

That’s what builds trust in hospitality.

A kitchen’s culture shows up before service begins.

The strongest teams don’t wait for pressure to become organised.

They prepare early.
Communicate clearly.
And create an environment where people work together properly.

That’s what experienced chefs notice immediately.
