It was great to be back at the Tees Business Awards last Thursday...

It was a brilliant evening celebrating some truly outstanding businesses from across the Tees region. Thank you so much to the Ritepeople team for inviting OutsourcedHR - always the best company.

We are thrilled to welcome Wendy Morten to the OutsourcedHR team as our newest HR Consultant!

Wendy joins us from Svitzer Marine Ltd bringing an incredible 28 years of HR experience, with specialist expertise in absence management, employee relations and fostering inclusive workplace cultures.

She is also a qualified Counsellor and Mental Health First Aider, making her a fantastic addition to the support we offer our clients.

We are so pleased to have her on board and look forward to the expertise and energy she brings to the team.

16 years. We genuinely can't quite believe it either.

Last year we made a big deal about turning 15, and rightly so. But 16?

In the past year alone we have moved into a bigger office, welcomed a brilliant new consultant to the team, launched our Workplace Mediation Service, opened a dedicated HR Training division and made more upgrades behind the scenes than we care to count. Not bad for a business that started as a one woman operation on a maternity leave side project.

None of it would be possible without the clients who trust us with something that really matters, their people. That has never been lost on us and it never will be.

Here's to year 16!!

We’re pleased to share that OutsourcedHR will be at the Spring Teesside Expo this Thursdsay on the 26th March as exhibitors for the first time.

Our MD and founder Sasha Warr will also be delivering a seminar covering the latest employment legislation changes, something we know is top of mind for many businesses at the moment.

It will be great to meet other local business owners and be part of an event that celebrates business across the region.

Our Saturday looked a little different for the OHR team🐑

Last saturday, Sasha Warr & Colette Farrell were delivering a completely tailored training programme Monks Park Farm (part of York House Leisure).

Prior to this this day, Sasha delivered Effective Leadership training to the Management Team, and saturday’s session was designed specifically for the wider flock team, built around the realities of their operation and the challenges they face day-to-day.

The sessions covered:

- Collaborative design of a Code of Conduct for the Flock Team

- Resetting of operational rules around timekeeping, reporting of absence
and booking holidays

- Deep dive (via a fun activity) into the wider impact of daily choices at work

It’s been a genuinely positive, engaging and value-adding day. Great conversations, strong participation, and a real appetite to take learning back into the business in a practical way.

It’s not often we get to swap meeting rooms for farm pens, the OHR team aren’t afraid to roll up our sleeves when it comes to delivering training where it matters most.

Huge thanks to Monk Park Farm for the warm welcome - we loved being part of it.

This month marks four years since Colette joined OutsourcedHR, and it felt important to pause and acknowledge that.

Colette was our very first hire, and a lot of what OutsourcedHR is today has been shaped by her along the way. She’s someone clients trust, someone the team relies on, and someone who brings a calm perspective even when things are busy or complicated. Most importnantly she brings a sense of humour that keeps us grounded and sane!

Four years on, her contribution is still felt every day. We’re really grateful for everything you do, Colette, and very glad you’re part of this journey.

Last week, Rebecca Iles was with the senior management team at Primary Healthcare Darlington, delivering our effective leadership training course.

The session focuses on the day-to-day realities of leading people. Building confidence, handling pressure, and getting the best from teams while staying grounded and people-focused.

It’s always good to work with organisations like Primary Healthcare Darlington who invest in developing their leaders and recognise the difference strong leadership makes, particularly in demanding environments.
