Job Summary
WLS Recruitment Solutions are looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable Van Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our clients team. . This position involves various tasks including the handling of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the logistics team in delivering products.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods in accordance with company procedures.
Must be able to lift heavy stock
Prepare and package orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with delivery drivers to load and unload goods from flatbed or van vehicles as required.
Skills
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
Valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for operating delivery vehicles.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A proactive attitude towards safety practices within the warehouse setting.
