Today, we celebrated 5 years of The Recruitment Duo! 🎉

We were thoroughly spoiled by the team at Six by Nico while enjoying their incredible Circus themed menu 🎪

5 years feels HUGE when you are a small business owner, and looking back at what we’ve achieved makes us incredibly proud 🤩

✨ 3 awards won
✨ The faces of a Government report highlighting women in business
✨ 6 HR seminars hosted
✨ A fantastic relationship with Solihull Chamber, where Louise now serves as Vice President of the Executive Committee

We had a brilliant morning spent at Solihull Moors Football Club hearing more about the club’s journey and ambitions. ⚽️ It was wonderful hearing from Darryl Eales about his journey before joining the Moors and the work that has gone into building the club for the future. One sentiment really stayed with us: “Before you cut a cake, you need to bake it.” 🎂

Success doesn’t just happen. It takes time, strong foundations and the right people working together. The same is true in business – and particularly in recruitment. As Darryl highlighted a bad hire can have a huge impact on culture, morale and ultimately success.

We loved the message about Solihull businesses working together and supporting our local community. There’s so much we can achieve when we collaborate. 💕

We absolutely loved attending the Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards on Friday. It was a fantastic evening celebrating everything that makes the Solihull business community so special. ✨️

One of the highlights for us was being surrounded by so many of our wonderful clients – although, after working together over the years, we’re very lucky to consider so many of them friends too. 💙

It was brilliant to see such an incredible range of Solihull businesses represented, recognised and rewarded for the work they do. Nearly 400 guests came together at the National Conference Centre for the celebrations, with some truly deserving businesses and individuals taking home awards.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners – what an amazing showcase of the talent, ambition and community we have right here in Solihull.

We’re recruiting a creative and user-focused Website Content Coordinator to join a small Communications & Marketing team and play a key role in an exciting website transformation project.
This is a 9-month fixed-term contract. Working 20 hours per week, there is flexibility around how those hours are structured depending on the successful candidate’s needs.

You’ll lead the review, rewriting and creation of engaging website content, helping to ensure information is clear, accessible, accurate and easy for users to navigate.

You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to gather information and turn complex content into clear, engaging copy, as well as supporting content migration, website quality assurance and the development of sustainable content processes.

They’re looking for someone with strong website content writing, editing and proofreading experience, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

✔ 9-month fixed-term contract
✔ £16,988 – £18,911 pro rata actual (FTE £29,729 – £33,093)
✔ Flexible part time 20 hours
✔ Excellent holiday entitlement even on a pro rota basis

We can’t quite believe it’s been 3 years since we won Excellence in Customer Service, and 2 years since we were Highly Commended for Sales, Marketing and Communications 🏆

This is always one of our absolute favourite events in the Chamber calendar — a brilliant evening celebrating the amazing businesses and people we have right here in Solihull. Louise will be attending in her role as Vice President of the Solihull Chamber 💖

Recruitment has certainly moved on from the days of shoulder padded power suits, rolodexes and fax machines. But one thing hasn’t changed: recruitment is still all about relationships. 💕

Technology may have transformed how we connect, even just in recent years moving to Teams and Zoom calls, but taking the time to understand people, building trust and making connections will never go out of style. 💜
