The horses may have been competing, but the dogs were stealing the show. 🐾

At this weekend’s Defender Burghley Horse Trials, 21 Mars Associates volunteered through the Mars Volunteering Programme to support Mars Equestrian, helping to host the Dog-Friendly Members Area.

The assignment? Welcome hundreds of dogs and their owners, hand out plenty of PEDIGREE® treats and help make Burghley an even more pet-friendly place to be. 🐶

It was a brilliant opportunity to spend time together outside of our day-to-day roles, whilst connecting with pet parents and sharing our love for pets.

A huge thank you to our brilliant volunteers.

Finally, thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. Four-legged visitors very much included.

When Gustavo joined Mars as a Continuous Improvement Intern in Brazil over ten years ago, he never imagined his career would one day bring him to the UK.

Today, he's part of our Engineering team in Birstall, helping keep one of our largest Pet Food sites running while continuing to grow his career.

Taste the rainbow 🌈. Flip the cup. Win the hat.

Last week, our Slough office got a little more colourful as we celebrated the launch of the new SKITTLES® Flavour Flip with our very own Flip & Dip competition.

The challenge? Land a full 180° cup flip to earn a lucky dip and the chance to win everything from SKITTLES® goodies to a £50 voucher.

Safe to say, the Taste the Rainbow hats were the prize to win. So much so, we ended with a final showdown for the very last one. 👀🏆

And nobody went home empty-handed. There were plenty of SKITTLES® Flavour Flip to taste too.

For Sarah, bringing her dog to work at our Birstall office isn't just a nice extra. It's one of the reasons she loves coming into the office.

Most mornings start with an excited walk through the doors, followed by a round of greetings with the other office dogs before settling in for the day.

When it's time for a break, they're never short of somewhere to explore. The nature walk beside our newly renovated Birstall office is the perfect excuse to step away from the desk, get some fresh air, and enjoy a lunchtime walk together.

Because creating a better world for pets starts with the pets closest to us 🐾.
