Another successful fault diagnosis and production recovery completed by the Maintech Recruitment engineering team 👷♂️
Our Maintenance Engineer recently attended an industrial oven fault within a manufacturing facility after the system entered an emergency shutdown condition.
The HMI displayed:
⚠️ Oven Emergency
⚠️ Number Module Error
Following investigation, the fault was traced to a communication failure on the Smitec FLXMOD control system caused by an unseated RJ45 communication cable within the control cabinet.
Corrective action completed:
✅ PLC & HMI fault diagnostics
✅ Fieldbus communication fault finding
✅ Industrial oven control system support
✅ Production downtime minimised
✅ System returned safely to operation
Once the communication cable was reseated and secured, the fault cleared immediately and the oven was successfully handed back to production.
