Celebrating Supported Internship and Apprenticeship Success in Rotherham! 🎉
Apprenticeships and Supported Internships give people an opportunity to gain valuable skills, earn while you learn, achieve recognised qualifications, all while gaining real-world experience in the workplace.
The 2026 Apprentice of the Year Awards brought together apprentices, supported interns, employers, educators and partners to celebrate the achievements of individuals across Rotherham and recognise the organisations supporting the development of local talent.

🔹Advanced Apprentice of the Year: Natalie Martinson – Magna Science Adventure Centre
🔹Highly Commended (Advanced Apprentice Category): Will Oadley – Danieli UK Holding Ltd
🔹Higher & Degree Apprentice of the Year: Amy Robertshaw – Magna Science Adventure Centre
The evening was a celebration of the dedication, hard work and achievements of apprentices and supported interns, as well as the employers who invest in developing their workforce through these programmes.
We were delighted to hear from guest speakers representing Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Airmaster Air Conditioning Ltd, RNN Group, Equans UK & Ireland Signs Express Sheffield and Rotherham who shared their experiences and insights. Equans UK & Ireland highlighted the important role apprentices play within their organisation and showcased the positive impact apprenticeships have had on both individuals and their business.
👏 A huge thank you to all the employers who nominated their apprentices and supported interns, as well as the judges, speakers and sponsors, and everyone involved in making the event such a success.
