Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties
Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Help with the setup and serving of food during catering events or restaurant service.
Wash and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces to ensure a hygienic workspace.
Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to senior staff.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Requirements
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in catering or restaurant settings.
Basic culinary skills with an understanding of meal preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
