Never underestimate how important it is to have a ball at your feet. โฝ๏ธ๐ฅ
Quick shout-out to one of our Academy graduates, Lui Bradbury ๐
Lui joined our sessions at just four years old, and straight away it was clearโhe was a real one-v-one magician. ๐ซ
๐ From battles with Bobby Bobby โฆ to always having the ballโLui would dribble anywhere: around the park, through the streets, even at home. ๐โโ๏ธโฝ๏ธ
๐ And yesโhis parents had stories about ornaments getting knocked overโฆ but the message was simple: Lui loved the ball. โค๏ธ
He didnโt just play footballโhe wanted to master it every day: control, rhythm, technique. ๐๏ธโจ
That dedication is exactly why he went on to sign with Manchester United, then Leeds United, a pro contract at Reading, and now heโs enjoying his days abroad ๐๐
So hereโs the takeaway for younger players: donโt discourage the touch. ๐
We donโt want smashed windows or picture frames off the fireplaceโbut if your child wants a ball at their feet, encourage it. ๐ โฝ๏ธ
๐ฏ Because the reality is this: the best players arenโt just coachedโฆ theyโre obsessed with mastering the ball. ๐ฅ๐
