HEANOR JOB ALERT - MECHANICAL FITTER

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their expanding team.
The role will involve working in a busy environment working with pumps, compressors, conveyors, transmission drives, couplings, gear boxes, fans etc both in a workshop & on-site environments. Based in Heanor, Derbyshire.

Duties -
Moving of machinery, eg conveyors. Working in confined spaces
Your responsibilities within the team will be to ensure the work allocated is produced & completed effectively as well as;
Inspection of own work to ensure it meets quality standards
Work in a safe manner, in compliance with company procedures

What we are looking for -
Apprenticeship/time served in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience
Knowledge and understanding of maintenance within the Process & Water Treatment Industry.
In depth knowledge of relevant engineering techniques.
Sound mechanical engineering knowledge materials properties and failure mechanisms (stress, fatigue, corrosion).
Broad knowledge from the “component” level (bearings, shafts, welding etc)
Thorough knowledge of plant & equipment operations & reliability.
Safety Passport
Manual Handling
Slinging & Rigging
Confined Space
IPAF
PASMA
Use of overhead gantry cranes
Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
Use of General workshop equipment associated with this role to include Pillar Drills, Saws, Hand Held Power Tools

What's in it for you-
Hours of work will be Monday - Thursday 8am : 5.00pm. - Friday 8.00am : 4.00pm - Overtime will be available
Temporary, on-going contracts (however, there could be subsequent contracts)
Pay £17-£20-hour

NOTTINGHAM JOB ALERT - SERVICE FIELD ENGINEER

We are now recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Field Engineer, based in Nottingham.
Based in Nottingham with access to sites across the UK, specialising in testing and inspection of lifting equipment and more. We are looking to employ an engineer to carry out thorough examinations to LOLER and repairs to a wide range of lifting equipment

Duties-
-Visiting sites, carrying out servicing and repairs, testing and certification to lifting equipment.
- Completing all necessary paperwork and adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations.

What we are looking for -
-Full UK Drivers licence.
-Hold a LEEA foundation qualification - this is preferred but not essential
- Ideally you will have engineering experience within lifting, plant, access, forklifts or inspection industries. Willing to stay overnight across the country when required.
-Attention to detail and self motivated
-Able to use laptops/tablet to produce reports
-Able to work overtime when required

- Salary £29k-£35k

ILKESTON JOB ALERT - FILLING OPERATOR

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Filling Operator, based in the Ilkeston area. Working in a busy manufacturing/production environment, producing soft furnishings of different styles.
You will be expected to be on your feet all day, moving around, performing various tasks.

­­Duties -
Filling of soft furnishings, chair and sofa cushions, scatter cushions with the correct components
Identifying and picking of the correct components to complete a variety of products
Using various machinery to assist in the efficient production of products
Loading and unloading of materials and products paying attention to the manual handling guidelines
Visual inspection of materials brought in and sent out, ensuring QA and QC compliant.
Assist in the gluing and cutting of foams

What we are looking for -
Previous experience in the soft furnishings industry is preferable
A positive and flexible approach to learning new skills and working with colleagues

What's in it for you -
Pay From £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday - 7.30am-5.00pm,Friday - 7.30am - 12.30pm (optional)
Initially a temporary role on a 10 week contract, but could lead to longer term work

STANTON/ILKESTON JOB ALERT - GENERAL OPERATIVE

We're currently recruiting for General Operatives*to join our client's busy outdoor stock ground operation based in Stanton, Derbyshire.
This is an ongoing temporary opportunity.

Duties
- Carrying out general labouring duties within an outdoor stock ground environment.
- Handling, moving and checking the functionality of manhole covers.
- Working alongside another operative to safely lift and manoeuvre heavy products, weighing up to 40kg as part of a team lift.
- Inspecting products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Following all health and safety procedures and using appropriate manual handling techniques.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Supporting colleagues with additional duties as required.

What We're Looking For
- A reliable, hardworking individual with a strong work ethic.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake physically demanding work.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Excellent awareness of workplace health and safety.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Previous experience in a labouring, yard or industrial environment would be advantageous.
- A B1 Forklift Truck licence would be desirable but is not essential.
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining excellent attendance.

What's In It For You?
- £13.38 per hour.
- Additional retention payment: Equivalent to 50p for every hour worked, subject to meeting the retention criteria.
- Working from 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday
- Full training and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
Retention Payment Information
An additional payment equivalent to 50p per hour worked will be paid at the end of the assignment, provided the following conditions are met:
- 100% attendance throughout the agreed assignment period, excluding authorised leave.
- Compliance with all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Successful completion of the assignment without leaving early or dismissal for conduct-related reasons.

Failure to meet these conditions will result in the retention payment being forfeited.
