BARDNEY JOB ALERT - FINANCE OFFICER

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, to support the effective operation of the Finance function through the management of accounts receivable, cash allocation, and payment processing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial record.

The role is responsible for administering customer accounts, maintaining strong credit control processes, and supporting working capital performance, while also assisting with core finance operations including payment runs and month-end activities. In addition, the position provides support to the wider Finance team to ensure robust financial controls and the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.

Based in Bardney, Lincolnshire

Duties -
· Cash Allocation: Accurately record and reconcile customer receipts within the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC) ERP system, ensuring all bank transactions are up to date.
· Customer Onboarding: Collaborate with the Commercial and Sales teams to process new customer account applications, perform credit assessments, and create approved accounts within the ERP system.
· Aged Debt Management: Proactively manage and collect outstanding customer balances, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and reduce aged debt.
· Credit Control and Order Management: Administer customer credit limits in alignment with company policy, monitor accounts on credit hold, and coordinate with Sales and Commercial teams to resolve credit-related holds promptly.
· Payment Processes. Prepare and administrate weekly BACS and CHAPS payment runs.
· Financial Support: Provide ad hoc assistance to Management Accountants during month-end close, supporting reconciliation, reporting, and other finance-related queries.

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central or Power BI
· Accounting or finance qualifications would be advantageous

Duties -
-Assist in staff recruitment by preparing job descriptions, searching for suitable candidates and managing the hiring process.
-Orientate new employees and organise the training and development of existing employees.
-Deal with staff complaints, grievances and implement disciplinary procedure.
-Counsel staff about any problems they may have.
-Ensure company compliance with current laws and regulations.

What we are looking for -
Previous experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment, able to follow instruction- guides/programs is preferred
Previous experience of quality inspection, with a good attention to detail
Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role is preferred
FLT licence is advantageous
Experience in welding is an advantage
Able to work days and afternoon shifts

Duties -

Determine the build requirement from the supplied documentation and / or verbal instruction, adhering to the production plan, sustaining traceability of both the product and the process to achieve product realisation

Maintain records of test results as directed by immediate Supervisor
Pro-active prioritisation of time management to product build, reporting to a supervisory level any deviations that may affect quality or time attributed
Undertake training as required to meet the needs of the business

What we are looking for -
Ideally previous experience of quality testing in an electronic engineering environment
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data effectively
Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and practices (training provided if necessary)
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

A full time, temporary to permanent role, working a 39 hour week (start time 7.30/8am)
Pay rate £13.07-£13.42
