Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage long-distance hauls effectively.
👍Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for long-distance deliveries, ensuring compliance with all road traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order.
-Load and unload goods securely, particularly when dealing with flatbed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.
-Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health and safety standards.
👍Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in a tramper or long-distance delivery role.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently on long-haul routes.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to handle physical demands associated with loading and unloading goods.
