The Employment Rights Act 2025 is set to bring some of the biggest changes to UK employment law in years.

For businesses, this is not just an HR update. It is a hiring, onboarding, culture and risk management issue.

Some of the key changes employers need to be aware of include:

βœ… Unfair dismissal qualifying period reducing from two years to six months.
βœ… Stronger rights for zero-hours and low-hours workers.
βœ… Statutory Sick Pay from day one.
βœ… Greater restrictions around fire and rehire practices.
βœ… Employment tribunal claim windows extending from three months to six months.

With changes being phased in across 2026 and 2027, businesses have time to prepare, but waiting until the rules are already in play is not a strategy. It is more of a β€œhope and a spreadsheet” situation.

This is exactly why getting the right hire matters more than ever.

A poor hire has always carried cost. Time, salary, management energy, team disruption and lost momentum. But with stronger employee protections and shorter qualifying periods, the margin for error is getting smaller.

At ENMASE Group, we use video shortlists to help our clients make better hiring decisions before interview stage.

Why? Because a CV only tells part of the story.

Video helps businesses assess:

πŸŽ₯ Communication style.
πŸŽ₯ Motivation.
πŸŽ₯ Personality.
πŸŽ₯ Cultural fit.
πŸŽ₯ Confidence and credibility.
πŸŽ₯ How someone may represent your business.

Skills matter. Experience matters. But fit, values and long-term alignment are becoming even more important.

The businesses that prepare now will not just stay compliant. They will build stronger teams, reduce hiring risk and improve retention.

Hiring well has always mattered. Now it matters even more.

To discuss how ENMASE could help you navigate these changes and create a more robust hiring process and journey reach out to us now for a simple conversation around it.

Precision industries need precision hiring. In test and measurement, defence, aerospace and electronics, the margin for error is small.

The same is true when hiring. A strong candidate in these markets is not just someone with the right job title. They need technical understanding, commercial awareness, quality mindset and the ability to operate in environments where detail really matters.

That might be a business development specialist who understands RF and EMC. It might be a test technician who knows how to work with high-value equipment. It might be a procurement professional who understands component risk and supplier credibility.

The point is simple:

Specialist sectors need specialist recruitment.

At ENMASE Group, we work across technical markets where understanding the language of the industry matters. Because when your market is niche, your hiring partner needs to know the difference between a keyword match and a genuine fit.

Pride Month is a celebration, but it is also a reminder.
Creating inclusive workplaces is not about changing a logo for a few weeks and calling it progress. It is about building cultures where people feel seen, respected and able to thrive.

At ENMASE Group, we believe EDI matters all year round. As a recruitment partner, we are passionate about helping businesses attract and retain great people by creating more inclusive hiring processes and stronger workplace cultures.

We do not just talk about EDI. We actively support our clients by helping them better understand inclusive recruitment, challenge bias and build environments where diversity is valued and people have a real sense of belonging.

Pride Month is a great opportunity to reflect, learn and take meaningful action. Because when businesses create space for people to be themselves, everyone benefits.

If your business wants support with building a more inclusive hiring approach and strengthening its EDI journey, we would love to have a conversation.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at ENMASE Group. 🌈

In electronics supply chains, quality is not a nice-to-have. It is business-critical.

Counterfeit components remain a serious issue across aerospace, defence and high-reliability electronics markets. Standards such as AS6081 exist to help mitigate the risk of buying, receiving and selling fraudulent or counterfeit electronic parts.

But standards only work when businesses have the right people behind them.

That means experienced procurement specialists, quality engineers, test technicians, sourcing professionals and supply chain leaders who understand risk, traceability and compliance.

In markets where one poor sourcing decision can create major technical, financial or reputational consequences, hiring the right person matters.

At ENMASE Group, we understand the importance of specialist talent across electronics, component distribution, test, measurement and quality-led supply chains. Because in this world, β€œclose enough” is not good enough.
