Personal Care Assistant (PCA) - Musselburgh
24 hours per week
(possibility of one 24-hour shift or two 12-hour shifts)
Rate of Pay: £14.20 per hour

About the Role:
A Clinical Research Scientist with Muscular Dystrophy, who uses a powered wheelchair, requires support to live independently in his own home in Musselburgh. He is seeking flexible and enthusiastic Personal Care Assistants to join his team, providing 24/7 care, and who enjoy theatre, film, cafes, exploring new places, and happy to join in family gatherings.

Responsibilities:
• Assisting with all aspects of personal care.
• Supporting with domestic tasks.
• Full training provided.

What We Offer:
• £14.20 per hour.
• 24 hours per week (possibility of one 24-hour shift or two 12-hour shifts).
• 4-weekly rota.
• Paid annual leave and pension scheme.
• Optional overtime available.
• Comfortable and relaxed working environment with Wi-Fi, food, and drink provided on shift.

Essential Criteria:
• Full UK driving licence (driving employer's vehicle).
• Reliable, conscientious, and discreet.

Rota:
A 4-weekly rota will be provided, allowing you to plan your schedule in advance.

Personal Care Assistant

Woodside PCA are looking for a Personal Care Assistant to work on a 1-to-1 basis:

• Rate of pay is £12 per hour
• Part-time (25 hours per week, based on 2 x 12.5hr shifts)
• 4-weekly rota (mix of weekdays, nightshifts and weekends available)
• Paid annual leave & pension scheme
• Overtime available to cover holidays/sickness
• Assistance required with all aspects of personal care and domestic tasks
• Permanent & Maternity cover roles available

The employer is a powered wheelchair user, with limited mobility due to Muscular Dystrophy. He works as a Clinical Research Scientist and is looking for flexible and enthusiastic individuals to assist with all aspects of his personal care and support. He lives in his own home (Musselburgh area) and is looking to recruit additional Personal Care Assistants to join a small team supporting him 24/7 to live independently at home.

Rota
You will be working a fixed 4-weekly rota, so will know your days in advance. There are a mix of weekdays, nightshifts and weekends available.

Essential Criteria
• Full driving license valid in UK required (you will be driving the employer’s vehicle)
