What Is MILAP 2015:
---------------------------
Milap 2015, is a grand UK Based Charity fashion event which celebrates the changing trends over the past few decades within the Indian fashion industry, originating from Maharashtra, the state which is now the economic powerhouse of India. This is a maiden event of its nature, where in an entire Indian ethnic community has come together to present a
focused fashion event which shall feature a stunning fashion show, a cultural dance and music performances and an exhibition of Indian fashion items and ethnic garments. All this and more in the presence of acclaimed celebrities from Bollywood. Milap 2015, is being organised by the joint efforts of Harrow International Business School, in association with Maharashtra Fashion Foundation, an NGO based in Pune, India. The main objective behind organising this event is to facilitate inter-community exchange amongst the various ethnic minorities present in UK as well as the local British & European communities while promoting the Indian fashion industry and the small scale textile industry based in Maharashtra. The non-linguistic nature of the presentation of a Fashion show, coupled with the ever increasing interest in Indian Ethnic wear within the European continent, maximises the potential reach of this event.
