☀️ We’re off to Skegness! 🏝️

Today we’re taking a group of our wonderful clients and staff for a day at the seaside. The weather may not be sunshine and blue skies, but we’re bringing plenty of our own. ☔❤️

We’re looking forward to fish and chips, sugar donuts, a trip to see the famous Jolly Fisherman, a few hours in the arcades, and most importantly, plenty of laughter and good company.

Days like these are about so much more than a day out. They’re about creating memories, enjoying new experiences, maintaining friendships, and making sure the people we support continue to enjoy the things they love.

A huge thank you to Redfern Travel for getting us there safely and helping make the day possible.

Whatever the weather, we’re ready for a fantastic day by the sea! 🌊🍟🍩🎰

Today we read that Jon Snow has shared he is living with dementia.

It is a brave and deeply human thing to speak publicly about something so personal. For many families, dementia is still spoken about quietly, often with fear, uncertainty, or sadness. When someone well known talks openly, it helps make the conversation a little easier for everyone else.

At Your Home Care, we support people and families living with dementia every day. We see the person first: their routines, humour, preferences, history, family, and the small details that help them feel safe and understood.

Dementia can change many things, but it does not take away someone’s dignity, their worth, or their right to be treated with patience and kindness.

Jon Snow’s story will also be explored in a new Channel 4 documentary, **Jon Snow: A Last Big Story**, airing on **20 June**.

The academy is doing fantastic work helping young people develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and life skills through darts, and we’re excited to support their journey.

Whether we’re supporting older people in their homes or helping young people achieve their potential, our goal remains the same, creating connected communities where everyone feels valued and supported.

We’re proud to stand alongside Nottinghamshire Darts Academy and wish all competitors the very best in the upcoming Development Royal Rumble Darts Tournament later this year.
