- ACA Qualified accountant, either newly qualified or with some post-qualified experience

M&A Manager

- Someone with prior deals experience, c.18-24 months within FDD or M&A

- Have some completed deals within the North West Market

- Experience in training the junior members, ensuring high technical standards, consistency and quality across all deliverables

M&A Associate Director
- Experienced M&A professional with a strong advisory network in Manchester and the wider regions

- Ability to act as the day-to-day lead on transactions from origination through to completion

- Looking for their final move and settling down into their forever firm

Finance Controller - Lancashire

NSTR is looking for a Finance Controller to join a PE-backed, operationally independent firm of business advisors in the North West. This is a senior leadership role, working closely with the CEO and board to drive financial strategy, performance and governance across a growing multi-office practice.

You'll own the reporting function, from monthly management accounts and board packs to reforecasting and annual budgeting, while leading and developing the finance team. You'll also play a key part in local M&A activity, including due diligence and integration, and help shape systems and process improvements across the business.

We're looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified finance professional with strong commercial acumen, confidence communicating with partners, and experience with Xero.

Audit & Client Manager – Manchester

NSTR is currently working with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants, with a 75-year track record advising North West businesses, who are looking for a qualified Audit and Client Manager to join their Audit and Accounts team in Manchester.

This is a qualified-level appointment holding your own client portfolio, running audits from planning through to sign off, with genuine exposure to advisory work including M&A, complex tax, restructuring and forensic assignments.

Responsibilities:

- Lead audit assignments end to end, from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork to completion

- Act as principal day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, covering year-end and management accounts, VAT and advisory queries

- Prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105, including group accounts and consolidations

- Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns
