🗣️ Building an AI-ready legal team: combining talent and technology for a new competitive edge

We are pleased to share that Faith Kelly, Associate Director, will be joining a panel discussion with Legal Geek , and The Law Society next week at the annual Legal Geek Growth Conference!

Chaired by Katharine Bollon, Head of Capabilities and Talent at The Law Society, the 30-minute session will bring together voices from across the legal sector to explore how AI is shaping the legal workforce and what this means for recruitment, talent and future skills.

The session will explore how AI is transforming the legal workforce, highlighting key recruitment trends in 2026, emerging opportunities across the sector, and how the legal jobs market is expected to evolve in the years ahead. Panellists will also share practical advice for candidates, with the key dos and don’ts when seeking new roles, as well as insights into the value of Gazette Jobs and the advantages it offers to jobseekers.

As technology continues to influence how legal teams operate, the session will consider how organisations can bring together talent and technology to build more competitive, future-ready teams. We are looking forward to hearing Faith’s insight as part of the discussion.

Public sector organisations are under increasing pressure to adapt quickly to changing demands - from budget constraints to shifting community needs.

One trend we have seen is the rise of interim executive roles, allowing organisations to bring in experienced leaders who can provide strategic direction and stability, without the commitment of a permanent hire.

For candidates, interim roles can be a rewarding way to apply leadership skills across different organisations, broaden experience, and make a measurable impact in a short timeframe.

For employers, it’s about gaining access to specialist expertise, driving transformation, and ensuring continuity during critical periods.

This blog looks at which sectors currently have the strongest demand and explores what employers are looking for in interim executives: https://www.sellickpartnership.co.uk/resources/blog/the-rise-of-interim-executive-roles-in-the-public-sector/

Our latest blog looks at:

🔹 How the LPC and SQE routes work
🔹 The key differences around cost, flexibility and support
🔹 Who may still be eligible for the LPC route
🔹 How qualifying work experience can support your legal career

There is no single right answer, but understanding your options can help you choose the route that best fits your circumstances, experience and long-term career goals.
