The Lighthouse Club is a vital lifeline for many in our industry. Whether it’s through counselling, mental health support, financial assistance or family bereavement counselling for those affected by injury, illness or adversity, The Lighthouse Club ensures that no one in the construction community faces hardship alone. Their work directly benefits countless individuals within an industry that DCS was founded upon and has supported for over 19 years

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust - As one of the UK’s leading cancer treatment centres, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust provides world-class care not only to local patients but to people from across the country. Their pioneering research and commitment to life-saving cancer treatments place them at the forefront of medical care. Supporting The Christie means helping fund essential cancer care services and research.

Collectively we manage to raise more than £10,000 for these charities and whilst we may struggle to achieve the same level donations, it shows what can be achieved with your help & support.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from everyone at DCS Recruitment. 🍀🎉

Today we ran a St. Patrick’s Day themed sales day with activities including St. Patrick’s Bingo and a Pot of Gold Coin Challenge.

It was a fun way for the team to connect, enjoy some friendly competition, and mark a successful day together.

Week 3 and we are back across Manchester visiting the construction and cabling teams who keep projects moving.

This week the Easter eggs were swapped for Mini Eggs as the DCS Recruitment construction team continued stopping by sites to say thanks and drop off some treats.

It is always great to catch up with the teams on the ground. If you see us over the next few weeks, come and say hello.

We’re really proud of our Compliance Manager, Emily, who is doing something special this year to support an important cause.

After years of growing her hair to an incredible 120cm, Emily has decided to cut around 60cm and donate it to The Little Princess Trust. For someone who is only 151cm tall, that is a lot of hair to part with.

The charity provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer and other medical conditions. While the minimum donation is 30cm, Emily wanted to go a little further and donate double that amount.

Alongside donating her hair, Emily is also raising funds to support the charity’s work. It costs around £700 to create a single wig, and these wigs can make a huge difference to a child’s confidence and wellbeing during an incredibly difficult time.

Huge congratulations to Maria on completing the Two Crosses Challenge Trail Marathon at the weekend!

42.3 km with 993 m of elevation, finished in 6 hours and 33 minutes. A tough trail marathon and a brilliant achievement.

Mel and Milli had a great first day yesterday at the Tech Show London.

It was a busy day meeting people across the tech community, having some really interesting conversations about the market, current opportunities and what businesses are focusing on right now.
