Duties include all housekeeping and general maintenance and upkeep of the house and grounds.
There is 1 part-time gardener employed and others added as necessary to assist. When employer is in residence some family style cooking (not dinner parties) may be required also.

Security is paramount so it is essential that someone sleeps in the staff accommodation every night (apart from holidays and booked time off when cover can be arranged). Staff accommodation is a lovely 3 bed cottage on the estate, all costs covered.

Working hours are generally Monday - Friday, 9-5, but when the owner is in residence, flexibility to work longer hours and occasional help at the weekend will be required.

The family are a mix of cultures and particularly enjoy eating a variety of cuisines, the family eats together and the children also enjoy different cuisines, so an interest in cooking would be welcomed.

The role will involve all aspects of housekeeping, including cleaning to a high standard, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, household provisioning, maintaining an organised and well-run home, and preparing healthy family meals each day. The ideal candidate will be able to work using their own initiative, be discreet and reliable, and become a valued member of the household. The family spend time at their home in Spain throughout the year, and the successful candidate will be expected to accompany them for approximately 6–8 weeks annually, usually in trips of around two weeks at a time.

Working Days & Hours: Five days per week, including one half day at the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), working approximately 40–50 hours per week.

The schedule will include two to three mornings each week starting at 7.30/8am, with the remaining days typically starting around 12pm and finishing at 7/8pm.

Salary: In the region of £50k gross per annum, depending on experience.
