Stay on the Bus Productions was formed to help those at the beginning of their careers; by providing a supportive environment in which actors, playwrights and directors can perform. We showcase new talent, providing a platform for those who have put their all into forging a career in the only industry they can see themselves being a part of. Along with the opportunity to perform, Stay on the Bus P

roductions is very passionate about the importance of forming relationships with like like minded creatives. After all, “it’s not what you know, but who you know”. Therefore, we provide an opportunity for our guests to network. We encourage both the artists and audience to join in conversations, build relationships, promote their individual talents and hopefully forge ongoing working relationships. Stay on the Bus is for everyone in equal measure, a new acting community.

WHY ARE WE CALLED STAY ON THE BUS? The concept of ‘Stay on the Bus Productions’ was formed after hearing Harrison Ford quote his philosophy of success: “I realized early on that success was tied to not giving up. Most people in this business gave up and went on to other things. If you simply didn’t give up, you would outlast the people who came in on the bus with you.” - Harrison Ford This metaphor stuck with us and we now realise that success won’t happen immediately. It’s about biding your time, creating your own luck, not giving up and sticking it out longer than everyone else... it’s about staying on the bus until the other passengers get off.

OUR THREE STEP PROCESS:
1. We SOURCE new writers to create a short scene for the stage. Those who want to workshop ideas, showcase their writing or who don’t have the means to stage a full production.
2. We ASSIGN up and coming directors who are looking for a creative project, and connect them with the successful plays.
3. We then INTRODUCE recently graduated actors who want the chance to prove their ability or stretch themselves creatively.
