🚵‍♂️ Networking on two wheels is something our team are acquainted with. E-mountain biking across the Surrey Hills is definitely a new experience...!

The Vail Williams team of Charlie and James spent a morning exploring Peaslake co-hosting an event with Mayer Brown Ltd. They brought together a group of like-minded daredevils for some expert tuition from Sixtyseven70 and Tony Pocock followed by a pub lunch.

🍂 The first week of Autumn provided some brilliant riding conditions and with the weather holding up, it was a great day all round. There may also have been a few jumps and tricks through the trees but some of the team decided to leave it to the professionals!

🏆 As always, last night's IAS Awards didn't disappoint!

Some of our industrial agents across the South East were joined by clients to enjoy a day of networking, a chance to celebrate the best in the industry, a classic game of 'Heads or Tails' and the occasional beverage to toast the winners.

🪄 'Once upon a time, there was an incredible awards evening hosted in a place just like Hogwarts and what a magical night it was.'

Yesterday's Oxprop Awards hosted by UK Property Forums at Keble College, Oxford was the best one yet and we were lucky enough to be sponsors for the 'Best Commercial Building of the Year' category.

🏆 Turns out, it was an impossible category to judge so we had to have not one, but TWO winners: Massive congratulations to Oxford North and Trinity by Breakthrough, Oxford - the calibre of commercial property in Oxford and beyond is astounding.

Thank you to Richard Dawtrey who handed out the awards and to our guests who joined us on our table for the evening.

🤠 Buckle up, cowboy, this isn't our first rodeo!

Our Surrey team dusted off their boots and double denim to be transported to Tennessee for an evening of 'good food, good friends and good times' at the latest FunFund event.

🍕 With bellies full of pizza, the Woking Team saddled up and moseyed over to ‘Nashville’ ready to unplug and be entertained by an evening of live country and western music, topped off with a tribute to the legendary career of the one and only Dolly Parton!

And there's nothing quite like a rendition of Shania Twain's 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' to bond a group of colleagues! Sounds like we've found a new anthem for the Woking office...

⛑️ But topping the night off was Maria Hoadley swapping her cowboy hat for a health and safety one - getting stuck in a lift is one thing, travelling up and down repeatedly with little to no hope of escape is another!

Yesterday, the Vail Williams team hosted a client breakfast in the private dining room at The Ivy, Birmingham, bringing together clients and professional referrers from across the Midlands for some tasty food and even better conversation.

Laptops switched off. Work phones on silent. Cue exploring the forest on our doorstep for a worthy cause.

Our South Coast team took full advantage of the beautiful weather and took part in a sponsored walk in the New Forest for regional charity, Sophie's Legacy. Three doggos, over 6.5km later and £347 was raised by our team - not bad for 90 minutes of chatting and getting some steps in.

A few were a little parched at the end of the walk so rounding the trip off at the pub was the obvious solution. Tying in a FunFund event with charity activities was a great way stop talking about work and get to know others in the region better.

We can spend more time with people at work than we do at home. Why not make work more fun by getting to know your colleagues in a different setting? That's what makes Vail Williams unique - creating a culture that makes you want to stay.
