Heya Guys!
It's the 1st of September today!
And what does mean? Yes, it means that teachers will be returning to work. Some of you may have returned today, but I officially start back tomorrow!
The reality of being a teacher-mum is that I no longer have the choice of just waking up and getting my own self ready. I have to be strategic and organised in order to make sure that I can keep all the balls in the air and get everyone out on time.
So, even though this year, I have the option of waking up later (say maybe 6am or even 6:15am), I am still choosing to get up at 5am.
Why? Because I understand that I have bigger goals that I want to achieve, not just for my career but for my personal health and future! And I can only achieve these goals if I am carving out some time to do so!
I know that Rome wasn't built in a day and the goals that I have for myself will need to be worked on a little bit at a time for me to achieve them.
I strategically know that the best time for me to achieve this in the morning before everyone is up because the evenings will be filled with commuting from work, dinner prep and getting the children ready for bed. Also, I may just be too tired from the day!
So my question to you is: What will you either change (or keep the same) in order to make sure that you can achieve your goals?
Do you even know what your goals are in the first place?
Let me know in the comments.
