Ten years ago, this man was homeless. He was sleeping on the floor of an industrial unit where he worked - and only had a bucket to wash in. “I was a proud man,” he said. “I didn’t want nobody to know… Most nights, I’d just sit in town speaking to rough sleepers and when the sun came up, I came into work.” He eventually hit rock bottom and drove to the Severn Bridge, leaving a goodbye message on his phone as he walked to the edge. But, at that moment, his dog barked from inside the car. It startled him and he instantly thought; ‘What am I doing?’ Now, ten years later, that man is turning the same industrial unit where he used to sleep into a ‘community village’ - which will see shipping containers turned into a base for skills workshops, local businesses, a repair cafe, and wellbeing gardens. Paul Gwilym, everybody 👏❤️
