Working Hours: 6:00am-8:00am and 4:00pm-6:00pm
Remuneration: $25 per hour

Job Summary:
As a Bus Attendant at Classical Charter Schools, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and supervision of our students during their bus commutes to and from their homes. Your role is crucial in maintaining appropriate behavior on the bus, aligning with our classroom expectations. Bus Attendants work approximately four hours a day in two two-hour shifts, with specific hours varying depending on the bus route. The expected hours generally fall between 6:00am-8:00am and 4:00pm-6:00pm. Your daily tasks will include:
Supervising students on the bus and strictly enforcing behavioral guidelines.
Assigning seats based on student behavior and bus stop order.
Organizing and facilitating the transition of students between the school building and the bus.
Communicating with the school after dropping off the last student, allowing staff to leave.
Contacting the school if a parent is not present at the bus stop to coordinate a pickup time.
Requirements:
Minimum age of 18.
Possession of a High School Diploma.
Previous experience working with children in any capacity.
Ideal candidates will:
Preferably possess certification through the Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT).
Have the option to apply for certification if not already certified at the time of hire. The certification process involves various examinations, training courses, and fingerprinting.
Demonstrate alignment with Classical Charter School's mission and educational approach.
Exhibit excellent work ethic and organizational skills.
