The NHS plan for Primary Care now encourages PCNs and GP surgeries to grow their multi-disciplinary teams, by adding Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s), Health Science Services (HSS) and Nursing staff in a range of roles that might previously have been fulfilled by an alternative clinician.
