An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Operations to take a senior leadership role within a well-established passenger vessel operation in London.

This is a high-impact position with responsibility for operational performance across the fleet, leading operational teams and ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, service delivery and efficiency.

⚓ Key responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day vessel and fleet operations

• Managing and developing Operations Managers, support teams and vessel crew

• Driving operational performance, KPIs and continuous improvement

• Ensuring compliance with MCA, PLA, Health & Safety and SMS requirements

• Overseeing workforce planning, recruitment, training and development

• Managing operational budgets, resources and fleet utilisation

• Building strong relationships with regulators, stakeholders and trade unions

👤 Who are we looking for?

We’re open to both experienced Heads of Operations and ambitious senior operational professionals who are ready to make the step up into a Head of Operations role.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

A rare opportunity to join the leadership of a highly specialist UK technology business — with a defined pathway to CEO.

We are exclusively retained to identify an exceptional senior leader for an established, innovation-led business operating at the forefront of marine technology, autonomous systems, vessel control and advanced engineering.
This is far more than a conventional COO appointment.

The successful individual will work directly alongside the current CEO, taking a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of the business, with the intention of progressing into the CEO position within approximately two years — potentially sooner for an exceptional candidate.
