Trinity school of carnatic music Leading Carnatic music school in London Four concerts are staged every year amongst which 'Swaralaya' is a student showcase organised by the school each year.

London's long established Trinities School of Music (TSM) has been offering music lessons in Indian Music and opportunities for student performances since 1995 and, in more recent years earned recognition for excellence from other institutions by its students winning prizes and trophies at music competitions and festivals. Abundant opportunities are available for young musicians for making music a

nd performing in its award winning orchestras 'Nadha Manjari', the popular Youth Orchestra, 'Raga Ranjani' the Senior Orchestra and 'Bala Manjari' the Junior Orchestra, which have won the overall Trophy for the Indian Music Ensemble at the Croydon Music Festivals 2003,2004,2005,2006 and 2007. As well as giving young people a chance to improve their musical, learning and teamwork skills, the orchestras also provide an opportunity to mix and socialise with new people from similar background and musical interests. The wide-ranging activities cater for children with different levels of musical ability. Orchestral practices are held regularly which also lead to informal performances of live music covering a broad and interesting repertoire including entertainments at parents' evenings. Promotion of music education is high on TSM's list of priorities and lobbies for serious investment in the music teaching and training of young children. Music inspires and delights both children and adults alike. The school currently has more than 200 students and has centres in New Malden, Harrow, Hays, and Croydon. A network of more than 30 experienced teachers is working in this mission to champion the teaching of music in London in collaboration with the school.
