Full Job Description
As a Home Care Assistant you will provide care to individuals, within their own homes. This will involve travelling between clients in the community and our retirement villages. Youâll perform a variety of tasks according to the Person Centred Care Plan; this may change periodically depending on the needs and wishes of the customer. Weâre committed to giving you the best start possible, and you will receive thorough training, including shadow training with an Experienced Worker before being expected to work alone. You can also create a career development plan with your manager which can include gaining an NVQ2, 3 or 4 qualification.
Our team is growing, and we have immediate opportunities for people to join our team - flexible hours are available with permanent and bank contracts available both part-time and full-time. Due to the location, you will need to be willing to travel and be able to drive to rural areas with business insurance. You will be paid at your total hourly rate of ÂŁ11.09 from the beginning of your shift to the end, including your travel time and breaks in between; the rate increases to ÂŁ11.28 per hour on the weekend. On top of this, you will also be paid 45p for every mile that you drive between calls.
The needs of our customers can vary greatly; some will be in need of personal care to help them get up and dressed on the morning, bathing, take medication and ensure their nutritional needs are met. Others require domestic support, so youâll help them out around the house with general housework, laundry and shopping. You could also assist in more specific areas such as financial care by collecting their pension or helping to budget effectively and manage their bills. Some customers just need a little support to help them remain active socially, you might accompany them to activities such as local clubs or on days out.
We are committed to providing the quickest possible turnaround from the point of making you a job offer to you starting with us on day one.
