A recent article by McKinsey & Company explores how Mastercard transformed its global Tech hiring strategy by applying agile product thinking to recruitment.

One part stood out to us immediately:

Weโ€™re excited to spotlight Chanduni, whose work sits at the intersection of AI, policy, and responsible innovation at LIRNEasia. ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ”น Chanduniโ€™s journey into AI started unexpectedly. She was introduced to responsible AI governance while working at a digital policy think tank in Sri Lanka and quickly realised this was a space she wanted to grow in.

๐Ÿ”น Rather than building AI systems herself, Chanduni focuses on how AI is governed, applied, and regulated, especially within governments and institutions.

๐Ÿ”น Her proudest career moment was contributing to the Global Index on Responsible AI and later supporting coordination across more than 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

๐Ÿ”น One piece of advice for the OLLMOO community:
Learning never stops, so stay curious. Ask basic questions in spaces where you feel safe, to build a stronger understanding of an area. When you're expected to contribute expertise, ask thoughtful and intelligent questions to challenge assumptions, move conversations forward, and help create meaningful change.
