The new Pharmacy First service in England will launch on January 31, 2024, in what has been called the Pharmacy sector’s “most important contractual development in over 10 years”.

Expanded Pharmacy Contraception and Hypertension Case-Finding Services will also start on December 1.

General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) must justify fee increase, say trade bodies.

More transparency is needed about where GPhC fees are spent if pharmacists are to be asked to pay more, pharmacy representatives have said.
