Today is United Nations International Youth Day, a day dedicated to recognising the potential of young people around the world.

Potential is something we talk about every day at RGH. But the opportunity to realise that potential is far from equal.

That’s why, through our partnership with B1G1, we’ve recently begun sponsoring a student in Kenya through So They Can, supporting their education and helping provide the stability and opportunity they need to build their own future.

So They Can works with communities in Kenya and Tanzania to break the cycle of poverty through education, and to date, their programmes have reached 55,000 children and 35,600 community members.

For us, Business for Good isn’t simply one-off gestures. It’s making giving part of how we operate as a business and supporting projects where that commitment can create meaningful, lasting change.

We love being part of this work and, particularly today, celebrating the young people whose ambition, ability and potential should never be limited by where they happen to be born.

Talent is everywhere... opportunity should be too.

Recruitment is only one workforce decision.

Every day, organisations make decisions about who to develop, who to promote, who to redeploy, who to support through change and who could become tomorrow’s leaders.

Too often, those decisions are made with limited visibility.

A job title.

A CV.

A manager’s view.

A record of past performance.

Useful? Absolutely.

Enough on their own? Not always.

When businesses can see the whole person, including how they learn, communicate, adapt and respond in different situations, they gain a clearer view of where people are most likely to succeed.

That visibility becomes powerful across redeployment, personalised learning, internal mobility, succession planning and organisational change.

Better workforce decisions start with better insight.

If you had greater visibility across your workforce today, what decision would you make differently?

Mike Friday joins forces with RGH-Global | People Services and Epitome Global to help sport see the whole athlete.

The best sporting environments don’t just develop players, they develop people, which is why RGH and Epitome are delighted to be working with Mike Friday as we bring whole-athlete intelligence into sport.

Throughout his career, Mike has built high-performance environments across elite rugby, helping athletes, teams and organisations achieve success on and off the pitch. His philosophy has always been simple: develop the person and you build a better player.

Together, we want to help clubs, academies, federations and player associations better understand the whole athlete.

Sport measures physical performance, technical ability and results in extraordinary detail. But some of the qualities that shape long-term success are often harder to see: resilience, leadership, coachability, adaptability, motivation, decision-making and the ability to perform under pressure.

These qualities matter throughout an athlete’s journey.

They help shape performance, leadership potential, education pathways and future opportunities while athletes are still competing. They also provide the foundations for life beyond sport when injury, retirement, release or career change eventually comes.

For younger athletes, preparation should start long before transition becomes necessary. Education, personal development and career confidence should sit alongside sporting ambition, creating stronger foundations for both performance and future success.

For many female athletes, this challenge is even more immediate, balancing elite competition alongside work, education and career progression.

Epitome helps make these capabilities visible by translating sporting attributes into recognised competencies and connecting individuals to education, development, leadership and career pathways.

Together, Mike Friday, RGH and Epitome are helping sporting organisations see more than performance… They’re helping them see the whole athlete.

Develop the person. Build the player. Plan for tomorrow, today.

We received this video from Action Through Enterprise in Ghana, from children who are receiving school meals through one of the projects we support via B1G1.

Through B1G1, 100% of the funds we give go directly towards sustainable projects around the world. One of those projects helps provide school meals to children in Ghana.

Business for Good is one of our core values at RGH. We choose to give a portion of our revenue to sustainable projects because we believe businesses have the opportunity to create positive change beyond their own walls.

This is one small example of what can happen when business success is shared more widely. A school meal might sound like a small thing, but for a child who is hungry, it can mean being able to concentrate, stay in school, learn and start imagining a future with more possibilities.

If you’d like to support Action Through Enterprise directly and help more children in Ghana continue their education, the link is in the comments.

If you’re a business interested in making giving back part of how you operate through audited, sustainable projects around the world check out B1G1.

If more businesses chose to give back in a structured and sustainable way, imagine how many more children could benefit from opportunities like these.

RGH-Global | People Services is proud to be announced as an Official Partner of London City 7s 2026.

Set in the heart of London, the tournament brings together elite rugby sevens, corporate teams, business leaders and supporters of a sport built on pace, pressure and precision.

For us, this partnership makes complete sense.

In sport, success is never just about individual talent. It is about trust, timing, communication and the ability to make good decisions when the pressure is on.

The same is true in business.

Strong teams are built through shared purpose, clear roles and people who understand how to work together when it matters most. That is what creates performance, whether you are on the pitch or in the boardroom.

London City 7s captures that energy brilliantly, bringing sport, business and community together in a way that feels ambitious, relevant and unmistakably London.

We are proud to be part of it and look forward to supporting the tournament as it returns to the City on Thursday 17 September 2026.

See you in the City.

A CV tells you where someone has worked and what they've achieved.

What it doesn't tell you is how they'll react when deadlines slip, priorities change or difficult decisions need to be made.

Will they bring people together or work independently? Will they challenge ideas or look for consensus? Will they stay calm under pressure or become overwhelmed?

These are the behaviours that shape how people perform, yet they're rarely visible on a CV.

Most organisations invest significant time assessing qualifications, experience and technical capability. But understanding how people think, communicate and respond to different situations can be just as valuable when building high-performing teams.

Experience will always matter. Behavioural insight simply helps complete the picture.

People are more than the roles they've held.

If you could understand just one behavioural trait across your workforce, what would it be, and why? We'd love to hear your thoughts below.

The journey continues. From where it all began to the heart of Europe in our 30th year.

RGH Sh**un heads to Prague for the Prague Rugby Sevens this weekend, bringing together talent from across England, Scotland, Wales, and Spain under one badge.

One team. One brotherhood. One mission playing for a very important cause, to raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease.

Next Monday, we’ll be joining the P.E.A. (People. Environment. Achievement.) Awards in association with OMMM 2026 as part of London Climate Action Week.

The day brings together people, businesses and organisations focused on driving meaningful change, from sustainable innovation and responsible business to the practical steps needed to build a better future.

We’re especially looking forward to the daytime summit, where Kevin Jun Zeng Chan, CEO of Epitome Global, and Nick Timpson, Strategic Growth Director for RGH-Global | People Services, will be taking to the stage at 11.30am to discuss how 'Sustainable Workforces Are Built, Not Bought'.

It’s a topic that sits right at the heart of what Epitome does.

Sustainable workforces aren't created through constant hiring, wasted potential or short-term decision-making; they're built through better insight, stronger alignment, internal mobility, retention and a deeper understanding of people beyond what is written on a CV.

As part of RGH's workforce optimisation offering, Epitome supports organisations to make smarter, fairer and more future-focused workforce decisions, using AI and workforce intelligence to help businesses understand, develop and retain talent more effectively.

The daytime programme will be followed by the PEA Awards evening ceremony, bringing together incredible brands, organisations and individuals who are not just talking about sustainability, but putting it into action.

We’re looking forward to a brilliant day of insight, conversation, networking and celebration with colleagues, clients and guests.

Thank you to Jarvis Smith FRSA and the wider team for bringing together what promises to be an inspiring event.

We’re proud to be involved and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

You can book tickets the daytime event via the link in the comments.
