Our client one of the UK's leading manufacturers and exporters, based in Walsall are currently recruiting for an all-round Experienced Administrator to work in their Office

Our client is a family-owned and managed business and supplies many UK supermarkets and exports around the world.

Salary - £17k – 22k depending on Experience

The working hours for the role are:

Monday -Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

As an experienced Administrator, you're main duties and responsibilities will be:

· Booking transport with suppliers

· Processing clients orders

· Checking details with large retail customers regarding personalised made to measure orders

· Handling queries from customers

· Handling and processing sales data

· Processing customer orders

· Tracking orders from client to customer

· Resolving any order issues.

· General administration duties.

Essential skills and requirements for the role:

· Good customer service skills

· Admin experience in a professional environment

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of Sage is preferable, but not necessary.

· Problem-solving

· Experience in working in a highly pressurised environment

Specific Daily Tasks will be:

Needs to manage the intake of all stock with existing and new suppliers.

Ingredients and packaging (suppliers sometimes don't deliver on time so it's picking up the phone or emailing them and negotiating with them to make sure goods are delivered when required)

Liaise with production teams and internal staff

Needs to liaise with the production team and internal staff to check sufficient stock volumes (this is where their own initiative comes into play where they need to stay on top of stock levels and be responsible for this).

Admin and Attention to Detail

Ensure all orders that are sent on email and phone are received are delivered and communicated properly to the production team ( they need to have good interpersonal skills to deal with our production team as they will give resistance at times when you ask them to do things out of their norm and this happens quite often almost daily)

Logistics and Operations

Ensure all goods are delivered to customers on time and when expected(Remember there will be many issues other than just the operations management e.g. Customers change their orders or goods arrive damaged or late so dealing with these issues appropriately where customer service and attention to detail will be vital)

General Qualities in the Individual

The individual really needs to be an all-rounder and flexible when it comes to duties as there will be some operations work, some admin and they need to be ready to make teas and coffee when greeting and hosting visitors.

Key competencies

Needs to have worked in a pressurised environment.
Excellent communication skills to negotiate with internal customers and external customers and suppliers
Excellent telephone manner and experiment in writing emails in the business environment

The Role

As the Transport planner, you will be proactive in your ability to plan and maximise the utilisation of the fleet. You will know what is working well within your area of responsibility and be able to identify opportunities for additional business to planned and scheduled.

· Driver de-brief and pre-brief

· Reporting discrepancies/late running and the desired solution

· Keeping traffic system up to date to ensure transparency and clarity for all involved

· Handover to night transport team

· Build closer relationships with haulage partners both franchise and external

· Negotiate haulage rates and ensure that current details are set against correct contracts

· Maximise available resources to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled with optimum benefit to all in the supply chain

· Weekly report on the good and bad for that week include financials and the same for the following week.

· Ensure all customer orders and haulage details are entered onto the day sheets

· Administration associated with sub-contractor business.

· CPC – Transport Management Qualification (desirable)

· Must have a can-do attitude

· Competent decision making

· Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
