This is Daphne enjoying the sunshine in her beautiful garden ☀️🌷

Something so many of us may take for granted, and something we are so pleased Daphne is still able to enjoy in the comfort of her own home.

Our Homecare Service supports people to remain independent at home, providing assistance with the things that matter most to them while continuing to enjoy the routines, surroundings, and little moments they love 💛

We even heard that Daphne enjoyed a hot chocolate in the summerhouse with her support worker... sounds absolutely delightful! 🍫✨

Watching Natalie Cassidy's, Learning to Care, is a powerful reminder of the incredible impact social care has on people's lives.

Here are 5 things we can all take away from the series:

💙 Care work is so much more than a job. It makes a real difference to the people receiving support, their families and the carers themselves.

💙 Care is about so much more than personal care. It's about building relationships, providing companionship, supporting independence and helping people live fulfilling lives.

💙 Care work doesn't discriminate by age. Age is no barrier to a career in care. People from all walks of life and at all stages of their careers can thrive and make a real difference.

💙 Helping people stay connected to their communities is vital. Supporting someone to get out and about and enjoy their hobbies can have a huge impact on their wellbeing.

💙 Care work deserves more recognition. The series shines a light on the skill, compassion and dedication involved in care, challenging common misconceptions and showing just how valuable the profession really is.

Services for Independent Living (SIL) are looking for a friendly, organised and creative individual to support Hereford Men’s Mental Health Group.

This flexible, part-time role will involve:
✔️ Administration support
✔️ Managing social media content
✔️ Promoting wellbeing and community engagement
✔️ Helping reach men who may be feeling isolated

📍 Primarily home based
⏰ 3.5 hours per week (flexible by agreement)
💷 £14.52 per hour

We’d love to hear from someone who:
✨ Has strong communication and organisational skills
✨ Is confident using Facebook & Instagram
✨ Can work independently
✨ Understands confidentiality and professional boundaries

Experience with Canva, marketing, community work or mental health awareness would be an advantage. 💙
