One thing about recruitment… no two Teams calls are ever the same 😂

As a team recruiting across the UK & Ireland, we spend a LOT of time on Teams calls.

This week’s highlight?
One of our consultants was midway through a very professional conversation with a nursery candidate when suddenly…

A tiny voice shouted from the background:
“MUMMY, THE DOG’S EATING PLAYDOH AGAIN!”

Cue panic, camera wobbling, and a very speedy exit from the room by Mum. 🐶🎨

To be fair, working in childcare means absolutely nobody on the call found this unusual in the slightest. If anything, it became a full team discussion on:
❓ Whether playdough is toxic to dogs
❓ How many childcare professionals can multitask through chaos
❓ Why children always pick the worst possible timing

The candidate came back mortified… while our consultant was trying not to laugh and reassuring her that honestly, it was probably the most relatable interview moment we’d had all week 😅

Safe to say, the dog was fine, the playdoh survived (mostly), and the candidate got shortlisted 👏

Recruitment can be chaotic sometimes… but moments like this definitely keep the office entertained!

We’ve recently welcomed another new addition to the Ben Williams Recruitment team… 👶💗

Little Maeve came in to visit the office with Lauren Parfrey, our Office Manager, who is currently enjoying Maternity Leave... although she couldn’t resist popping in to show off her new arrival!

It was lovely to see them both and catch up with Lauren. Maeve was definitely the star of the office for the day, with everybody competing for cuddles!
