- Duration: 4 weeks initially
- Hours: Mon–Thu 07:00–17:00 | Fri 07:00–16:00
- Rate: £29-£31 Per Hour, Ticket Dependent

We are currently looking for 2 groundworkers for a substation project in Necton.

Previous substation experience is essential, along with your NG Person ticket for the role. Any other tickets are advantageous.

AWC are looking for an experienced SCO91 / Permit Holder with a strong civils background to join a major project in Aberdeen. 🏗️⛽

📍 Location: Aberdeen
📅 Start: 26/10/2026
⏳ Duration: 12 months
💰 Rate: Negotiable / DOE
💼 LTD contractors welcome

Requirements:
🔹 Valid SCO91 / Permit Holder competency
🔹 Strong civils background within gas / utilities / infrastructure
🔹 Experience working on AGIs, compressor stations or similar controlled sites
🔹 Experience managing and supervising civil works
🔹 National Grid / Gas site experience highly relevant
🔹 Strong understanding of permits, RAMS, site safety and contractor management
🔹 Relevant additional competencies such as SSSTS, HSG47, Deep Excavation, Confined Spaces, SHEA GAS and Temporary Works would be advantageous

This is a 12-month opportunity, so we’re looking for someone with solid experience who can hit the ground running.

🪪 GPS experience is preferred but NOT essential – we're happy to consider both GPS and non-GPS competent operators.

The successful candidate must have relevant D6 Dozer experience and hold the appropriate CPCS/NPORS certification.

Our client, a major provider of cybersecurity services to the National Grid, is expanding following new contract awards and is looking for talented Security Engineers to join the team. You’ll work on National Grid Gas sites across the UK, and NG Persons is not required.
🔧 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Diagnosing faults on electric fencing, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
• Servicing and completing planned preventive maintenance on bespoke security systems
• Identifying and reporting defects, snags and complaints
• Managing van stock, replenishment and stocktaking
• Solving problems and making diligent recommendations
• Demonstrating completed systems or individual works to clients and end users
• Arranging PAT testing and meter calibration for company-issued equipment
• Completing asset tagging and registering information
✅ WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• A complete understanding of, and the ability to demonstrate, at least one of the following disciplines: access control, CCTV, intruder systems or power fencing
• Experience with Gallagher security systems, covering access control or perimeter security
• Previous experience in a similar role
💷 SALARY: £38,000–£41,300, plus fantastic benefits
