We recently hosted a local job fair in Bradford in partnership with Inspired Neighbourhoods CIC, bringing together job seekers and employers from across the region.

Throughout the day, over 400 people came through the doors to connect with companies hiring in financial services, customer service, logistics, and public sector roles. Employers included Lloyds Banking Group, Lantern, Kind Consultancy, GXO, and West Yorkshire Police.

A big thank you to all the organisations and partners who helped make the event possible, and to everyone who came ready to engage.

That’s a wrap on our latest Community Job Fair, and what a day it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part, supported us, or simply showed up with an open mind. The atmosphere at Guardian House was incredible from start to finish.

Whether you were job hunting, offering opportunities, or just exploring what’s out there, we hope you left feeling inspired and supported.

A special thank you to Inspired Neighbourhoods for helping us make this event happen. We truly couldn’t have done it without them.

We were invited by Plusnet to their Marlborough Street office in Leeds today to support staff as part of their redundancy redeployment process.

We spent the day with their Sales Retention, Customer Service, and Technical teams, many of whom have been with the company for over a decade.

These are people with experience, talent, and loyalty, now facing the uncertainty of change. We were there to offer practical support and advice: what’s next, where to look, how to position their skills, and how to move forward with confidence.

Big thanks to the Plusnet team for bringing us in to support their people at a critical moment.

Good turnout at our first FREE CV Surgery at Guardian House. Great to meet young job seekers and have real conversations about careers, apprenticeships, and the job market.

One thing stood out—many don’t give much thought to CV design and structure. A CV isn’t just a formality; it’s what gets you through the door. The right role, the interview, the job offer—it all starts with a well-crafted CV.

Apprenticeships came up a lot. They’re becoming a serious alternative to university, and more people are seeing the value in learning on the job.

Exciting Opportunity: Residential Children's Home Manager (Level 5 Qualified) - Skipton, North Yorkshire

WR Resourcing is proud to partner with a new residential children's home in Skipton, North Yorkshire. We're seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead this exciting new venture.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for:

- Overseeing a brand-new 2-bed children's home
- Handling Ofsted inspections and queries
- Managing council referrals and service user matching
- Building and leading a supportive team
- Creating a nurturing environment for children and staff

Requirements

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor staff
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and council referrals

What We Offer

- Competitive salary: £35,000 - £48,000 (based on experience)
- Opportunity to shape a new service from the ground up
